First of all, I was not expecting the amnesia plot and I wasn't that upset about it. I've never read a story where the character had gotten amnesia so I was intrigued and open-minded. I didn't so much mind the fact that she was with Silas's brother, because the girl's got amnesia, she doesn't know better. Plus, her mind went with someone the most similar to Silas. The part that felt extremely out of character though, was Silas being with another woman all while obsessively looking for his "soulmate". To me, it cheapened his passion for her and made it feel like he wasn't as into her and he kept stating. I know it's probably petty of me to think, but part of me hoped he'd stay celibate during their years apart, it would have made their relationship look much stronger to me, especially since he was again, searching for her this entire time. Oh and be prepared to fall in love with Si. The lengths he goes to for love will give you all the feels over and over again! This was my first Catharina Maura book, or novella and she definitely knows how to pull you in from the very start!!

I fell in love with Alanna and Silas during the chapters set in the past, and I honestly would have read an entire book with that storyline. However, when they had that fight towards the end of the chapters set in the past, it felt completely random and out of character for Silas. Even more, once we got into present time that's where things felt off. man there is a 5 year age difference ,,,, he is 21 years of age ??? finding an actually teenage attractiveHe looks at me, his gaze making my heart skip a beat. “There’s nothing I like more than seeing your name next to mine.” He pauses and shakes his head. “Wait, that’s not quite true. Turn offs were: sibling to sibling sex, unlikeable characters, and a hero who is supposedly infatuated but still plays games. Catharina Maura is an amazing Author. I started reading the Windsor series recently and while waiting for the newest book to come out, I decided to look at her past books. Bittersweet Memories is the 4th and final book in Catharina Maura’s Off-Limits series and this is the one I always hear people recommend! I recently binged the whole series and was looking forward to this one as I feel like each book in the series got better and better! And that was definitely true with this book, I loved it. You think you are getting typical girl meets boy at coffee shop, but girl has boyfriend, so boy is going to be all "alpha" about it but nope. Not at all, Silas is most definitely not a boy, and he most definitely isn't going to be all "alpha" because he is the alpha.

The entire Off Limits series is absolutely lovely, but Mrs. Maura definitely saved the best for last. Silas and Alanna’s story was definitely bittersweet and beautiful. Get your box of tissues ready! Then, both of them have like the SAME STORY. Both lose a mother, then they both lose their father and both become homeless directly after losing their father. Both want to pursue the same career. Both want to go to the same college. Both go to the same shelter. Both came from a very wealthy family…. This book popped up on tiktok that had me thinking it would be a revenge slept with her ex’s older brother after her ex broke her heart but it was so much more. I loved the storyline, the emotions and they way the main characters fought for their love.I really don’t care if you don’t agree with me, please stop commenting ?? like I don’t need your negativity clogging my notifs. please get a life if all you do is argue with some random depressed college student on goodreads omg. This book is so well written, the memories the pain the love the bittersweet moments everything owns my heart.
