About this deal

There are two available references, though for an AX201: AX201.NGWG and AX201.NGWG.W. Can someone please tell me what 'W' stands for? I think it add 'WEP' support, but I'm really unsure. Installation or use of Intel® Wireless Adapters is subject to country-specific legal regulations. Some countries require the Intel® Wireless Adapters to be certified with the antenna that is intended to be used together in the system, while some countries require the Intel® Wireless Adapter to be certified at the full system level. Intel is best known for its development of microprocessors, the central processing units (CPUs) of computers.

My wifi driver (Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6 AX201 160 MHz) has completely ceased to function. I've tried running the Driver Assistant tool multiple times, and installing the newest version of the driver has not helped at all. You need to look in the Bluetooth device category to see the Intel Bluetooth driver. I suspect that you will find, at least from the driver standpoint, it is working. Adding a pair of internal antennas is fairly easy. Diverting power from one of the motherboards USB ports to the bluetooth part of the adapter is more of a challenge, but I trust my soldering skills.

What slot are you intending to plug this card into? The AX201 is for systems that have an M.2 Type E connector with CNVio/CNVio2 support built into the motherboard. I am not sure that you system has this. In fact, you may not even have a M.2 Type E connector at all! (difficult to tell with Dell's horrid documentation). The PAN device is a virtual device, implemented in software. It sits on top of whatever underlying Bluetooth transport (hardware and driver) has been made available (in this case by Intel). It is provided as part of Windows and the driver provider will * always* be identified as Microsoft.

but you're right, I'm going to see a radio amateur friend, who will measure that my pc is not out of the ordinary! Any way ,just now saw Youtube video reg installation of AX200 as a replacement of 9560NGW in to DELL inspiron 9th intel generation, that is CNVIO1 support, same as MSI gs75. Is it a M.2 Type E slot with CNVio (or better CNVio2) support? If so, then perhaps the AX201, AX211 or AX411 will work (I say 'perhaps' because these modules are CNVio2 and I have seen a number of boards that *only* support the older CNVio).

Hi, thanks Steven for your answer. I've asked Mouser to know why there are two different references for that card (one 'W' and one 'non-W'). A distributor has little to no interest to have two references for identicals products - for them, the less references, the best. Furthermore, number of parts stored is not the same for both references.

Here's the plan: Replace my pair of 500 GB EVO Plus by the single 2TB SSD. So, i'll free up the second NVME slot and populate it with the NVME Wifi adapter + AX210NGW no.1. Now I am considering to upgrade my home wifi network from AC to AX. Therefor, I would like to build an Intel AX201 (CVNio2), or perhaps an AX200 in my laptop. The company invests heavily in research and development and has been awarded over 17,000 patents for its innovations. The main difference between the two is that theIntel® Wi-Fi 6 AX201 is a CRF module that uses the Intel proprietary interface, and thus can only be used with select Intel chipsets and platforms.
