About this deal

As some users have noted, you may need to adjust some nuts on the pointer to get it to work properly. Stargazing like this is much easier than twisting the knobs while looking through the eyepiece. But note that the motor is not included when you buy the telescope. Nonetheless, it can be bought as a separate kit.

Astromaster telescope 130 mm tube what lens should I use to see the planets like saturn with its own ring apparently can I see trough that tele scope similar objects and planets in night sky OTA or optical tube assembly is the main telescope tube, made of metal with some plastic elements on both ends and preassembled mounting rings with a dovetail bar. One feature you’ll really appreciate is the equatorial mount. More on that next. 2. Equatorial mount and tripodThe optical system consists of a spherical mirror that reflects incoming light to form an image at the focal point, where it is viewed through an eyepiece. While a spherical mirror produces images with some distortion due to off-axis light, Celestron has improved image quality by adding a secondary parabolic mirror to correct the distortion. Since you can't reach focus, I would guess you need an extension tube like one of these sets here...

I am having this problem too. The SW 130m has a motor with a handset, is this worth it? Also the pointer on the SW looks better than the Celestron's, and as they both come with an EQ mount I feel the SW has an edge. In a standard eyepiece, the image is upside down. However erecting the eyepiece uses more optical elements, so you lose brightness when looking at dim objects at night. Nevertheless, viewing the moon with this telescope produces a decent image. Overall, this powerful yet beginner-friendly telescope provides an excellent experience for anyone looking to explore space and expand their knowledge of astronomy. What is in the Celestron Astromaster 130 EQ box?I recommend replacing them with higher-quality options and maybe adding a Barlow lens once you are done testing them. Actually theres quite a lot of difference between the Celestron Astro Master and the Skywatcher 130P and I would always tell people to get the Skywatcher version - heres why.......

The bulk of the AstroMaster 130 scopes I’ve seen have had acceptable primary mirrors–usually not quite parabolic but not quite spherical either–but a few have had spherical primaries that made for mushy views. I’ve also seen a few with great optics. I totally agree with the comments at the beginning of the article. I encountered all the issues mentionned. Digiscoping is afocal photography - put a camera with lens behind the eyepiece. Works best with compact cameras and not so well with larger inage sensors. Who knows what Synta is up to, as we're not privy to their little secrets, and behind closed corporate-doors.The Barlow lens changes the optics so that, with your camera attached to the t-threads, you may be able to get focus in your existing focuser. The Apertura DT6 offers a significant boost in aperture, much better build and optical quality, superior accessories, and a stable, easy-to-use Dobsonian mount. Would I be best off giving up on the mount and purchasing something new or are there things I can do to it to improve?
