Serve in drinks dispensers, or pitchers, or go really retro and serve it from a punch bowl! Whichever container best suits your event (and the drink!). White rum: The classic! White rum has a straightforward flavor rum with the signature fruity finish. Drink pitcher– I think making individual drinks is a pain so I usually make a pitcher (no ice) and then serve from there. I love this fun pitcher for rum punch- it makes the drink look beautiful. For the coconut rum, you could experiment with spiced brown sugar syrup which can help mimic a rum flavor, and coconut syrup too.

In our version of the fruity rum drink, tropical-flavored rum and coconut rum are mixed with grenadine syrup, cranberry, and orange juices.
Other brands include Strykk(UK) and Ritual(US & Canada). Non-alcoholic spirits are a growing trend, so be on the lookout in your local stores and online. We sampled out first Painkiller when there was a Pusser’s in Cruz Bay on St. John many years ago… It has become one of our favorites and is available nearly everywhere in the Caribbean now – especially anywhere in the Virgin Islands. And it has a pretty tasty cousin too – The Nilla Killa! You can mimic the rum flavor using spiced brown sugar syrup, coconut syrup, and or pineapple syrup, replacing the alcohols in the recipe card with the syrups. I recommend adding the syrups to taste as they may add a sweetness that you may not necessarily get from alcoholic liquors.
Berry Bahama Mama: 2 parts Raspberry Rum, 1 part Coconut Rum, 2 parts cranberry juice, 1 part pineapple juice. Garnish with fresh raspberries and a lemon twist. If you make your own juices, (try this homemade pineapple juicerecipe that doesn’t use a juicer!) you can also use a low or no-calorie sweetener like Stevia to really cut down on the calorie count. Aged rum: Also known as golden rum or añejorum. Aging gives it notes of vanilla, coconut, almond, citrus, or caramel. There are two schools of thought on the best way to make a true tropical rum punch. One is to use only fresh juices with natural flavors. Tropical Bahama Mama: 2 parts Mango Rum, 1 part White Rum, 1 part orange juice, 2 parts tropical punch, and a splash of grenadine. Garnish with a mango slice and a maraschino cherry. Some people use pomegranate juice in place of the grenadine to cut down on artificial sugars. The color is the same, so that can be a good choice. Variations
