About this deal

This is a journey of personal transformation. It’s about an ordinary person who starts a journey of self-transformation that leads them to discover a higher purpose for the greater good. Many of us tend to think that the grass is greener on the other side. Often, we get to the other side of the fence and find that this is not so. Each time you learn something new, you gain more knowledge, and with more knowledge comes more confidence.

The spirit is the one who testifies is speaking of the saving work of the Holy Spirit to make a way for faith in Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit is the one who works in the heart to convict for sin and show a need for the savior. In the same way, once the believer has the Holy Spirit in them, they are instructed by Him and given assurance of their salvation in God. In Ephesians 4:17-19, Paul paints a grim portrait of how unbelievers live. While not all unbelievers are as bad as they possibly could be, they all live “in the futility of their mind, being darkened in their understanding, excluded from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardness of their heart” (4:17b-18). That bleak picture describes each of us before we met Jesus Christ. The Call to Adventure: Something disrupting happens in your world, calling you to take a new direction in life. We are surrounded by change, and it is the one thing that has the most dramatic impact on our lives. There is no avoiding it because it will find you, challenge you, and force you to reconsider how you live your life. So, to be “taught in Him,” means to be taught from the standpoint of this new relationship with Christ that entails this new position in Christ. Before, you stood outside, not understanding the things of God. But now, because of God’s mercy and kindness toward you in Christ, you are “in Him” for time and eternity. To be taught in Him is a lifelong process that begins at the moment of salvation, but never ends. Since Christ is the center of all of Scripture, to be taught in Him is to grow to know the glory of Christ in His person, His offices, and His work on our behalf. Someday when we see Him as He is, we will be instantly changed to be like Him (1 John 3:2). Meanwhile, we must engage in the process of being taught in Him.

John spells Christian love F-A-I-T-H . There are ten reference to believing in 1 John, seven of then are in the fifth chapter. “The road to love—such a great concern of John’s—is paved with faith in Christ.” (ESV Study Bible). In this blog post, we will explore seven characteristics of a transformed life. 1. A Desire for God’s Word

Perhaps the best view is that it refers to the principle that regulates or controls the mind. In this sense, “the spirit of the world” (1 Cor. 2:12) is the principle that controls the world, or makes it what it is (Charles Hodge, Commentary on the Epistle to the Ephesians [Eerdmans], p. 264). Thus, the spirit of the mind is not just mental ability, “but the power that controls and directs the abilities” (Lloyd-Jones, p. 156). Paul means that our entire way of thinking and what controls our thinking needs renewal. We need to think in line with God’s thoughts, as revealed in His Word.
