About this deal

Bosch garden shredders lead the market these days. If, like me, you don’t have heavy duty requirements for a garden shredder, then chances are that you’ll lean towards Bosch’s entry-level model; the AXT Rapid 2200 Garden Shredder. It’s meant to be fast and powerful, yet easy to use. Lighter, easier to manoeuvre models like the Bosch AXT Rapid 2200 will likely suit the majority of households . It performs well but only weighs 12 kg so can be easily carried. Still, with its 177km/h blow speed, it made short work of leaves, twigs and sawdust from a recent DIY project, meaning it’s more than up to the job for the average gardener. And when you’re done, the nozzle detaches at the touch of a button for easy storage. It’s a serious bit of kit that uses hardened steel blades to make short work of basically any garden shredding job. The big 55 litre bin holds loads of chippings, and, thanks to the simple three-button control, it’s a piece of cake to use. The Bosch AXT 25 TC Shredder is an example of an electric shredder with a turbine-cut system. In general, these shredders should be able to cut both dry and green matter, although they often still cope better with one than the other.

Brandon Mews, completed in 1969, is positioned between Speed House and Andrewes House. It forms the east side of Speed Gardens and continues behind the ornamental, brutalist waterfall at the southern end of the Barbican lake. The duplex apartments are immediately recognisable thanks to their spectacular floor-to-ceiling U-shaped windows, echoed by the curvature of a distinctive perspex structure that covers the regular pitched roofs. Key specs – Type: Electric garden vac, blower and mulcher, 1,800W; Bag capacity: 45l; Mulching: Yes; Dimensions: 115 x 23 x 67cm; Weight: 3.4-4.7kg Copper is determined with this formula: C o p p e r = B a s e I t e m s 2000 I t e m Q u a n t i t y M u l t i p l i e r × V i s i t o r R a r i t y M u l t i p l i e r × 1.3 {\displaystyle Copper={\frac {\frac {BaseItems}{2000}}{ItemQuantityMultiplier}}\times VisitorRarityMultiplier\times 1.3} ( B a s e I t e m s {\displaystyle BaseItems} and I t e m Q u a n t i t y M u l t i p l i e r {\displaystyle ItemQuantityMultiplier} are from the Requests formula) But of course, written specifications only tell part of the story, so I put this electric shredder through its paces to see how it lives up to the manufacturer’s promises.I used this machine one day, left it without any cleaning and then used it the following day. It worked well both times and chewed up the majority of materials I threw at it without jamming. This shredder is fitted with a 10 m power cable and has large wheels making it possible to move across hard surfaces. It weighs 27 kg in total so is reasonably heavy but not completely unmanageable. If uninvited users are found they will be asked to leave, as will residents found abusing the garden facilities. Compared to the other leaf blowers I tested, this one sits at a mid-range price. However, considering that it was powerful enough to cope with both dry and wet leaves, which the other blowers weren’t really able to do, I would say it’s one of the best cordless leaf blowers in terms of value for money.

This range includes lawn mowers, chainsaws, hedge trimmers and tillers, turning your tools and 40v GMAX battery into a powerful, self-contained garden care system V i s i t o r R a r i t y M u l t i p l i e r {\displaystyle VisitorRarityMultiplier} is determined by the Visitor's Rarity: This Dirty Pro Tools™ Garden Shredder is a budget-friendly rotary impact garden shredder claiming to shred wood up to 40 mm and other leafy garden waste. It has 2500 W, a 4050 rpm cutting blade, a long cable, a 50-litre collection box, two wheels and a safety shut off. What may put some people off is its 4 mm branch-diameter limit. In fact, this seems to be slightly less than 4 mm in reality, although only by a couple of millimetres. As a result, I would say that the AXT Rapid 2200 is the best garden shredder for home use – if most of your garden waste is soft and green, with a few twigs and small branches here and there, then the AXT Rapid 2200 is perfect. In terms of volume, this leaf blower emits 92.6 dB. It therefore sits at the quieter end of the market, though it’s by no means the quietest leaf blower featured here.

For this reason, I believe it to be the best garden shredder overall. It’s a powerful unit that will pull its weight even in large gardens and offers a fuss-free way to shred harder branches.

XL Garden Tractors

When it comes to price, this blower is very reasonable. The low price reflects the tool’s simplicity – you may only be getting one blow speed, but if this is all you need, then why pay more for a machine with unnecessary settings? Unfortunately, the positioning of the trigger was a little annoying – if you try holding the blower by its handle and carrying it around the garden, you’ll likely end up accidentally hitting the trigger several times. Although not a huge deal, this did end up wasting a fair bit of precious battery.

The Garden XP is then multiplied by V i s i t o r R a r i t y M u l t i p l i e r {\displaystyle VisitorRarityMultiplier} , which is determined by the Visitor's Rarity: Bear in mind, it’s noisy. It’s still worthwhile, especially if your neighbours don’t mind a bit of noise (or you don’t like your neighbours..!), but I needed ear defenders because it’s thunderously loud. Power: Airflow speed is one of the most important features when it comes to power. We marked any leaf blowers down that had less than 250 km/h airflow speed, as this isn’t sufficient for wetter leaves and detritus, reducing the versatility of the blower. Blowers that had the right balance of power and noise levels (of 90 dB or lower) were given the highest marks, as these were less likely to cause a headache to users and their neighbours!Other negatives are that it’s really noisy and the power button is hidden out of sight so it doesn’t feel that easy to turn off and on. Unlike some of the other leaf blowers that I tested, which were designed solely for leaves, this one was also created to clear dirt and dust from hard surfaces. The main downside to this shredder is its weight. At 28 kg it is not always practical to carry. However, there are large wheels which make it easier to pull in and out of storage. Also, the cable is just 3 m long, so you may need to use an extension cord. minutes may not seem like much if you have a large garden, but that’s double what you’d get from some other brands. Even better, this was the quietest of all the leaf blowers I tested – it’s ideal for those of you with nearby neighbours, sleeping babies, or just a sensitivity to loud noise!
