So what is Proban®? Proban® is a flame retardant chemical treatment that was developed in the 1950s; woven and knitted cotton or cotton blend fabrics are bulk treated at the finishing stage. It has a wide and almost all-encompassing range of applications, for industrial, sport, military uniforms and workwear, right through to civilian industries which include anything from hotels to hospitals and nursing homes. Essentially, anywhere there is a risk of fire or fire hazard, Proban® treated fabrics are useful to have in your corner.

For the best fit, we strongly recommend that you buy your coverall based on your chest size in inches". While Fire Resistant fabrics prevent the further spread of fire such as meta aramid, which will burn very slowly or self extinguish, Fire Retardant fabrics are typically chemically treated to give them inherent fire retardant properties. Layer Up: You wear FR garments to reduce your risk of skin burn. By layering - wearing layers of, ideally, Fr undergarments, such as FR polo shirt, or FR long johns, you further extend your life (!), and reduce your risk of skin burns. This coverall is constructed with a double layer of Nomex a flame-resistant meta-aramid material widely used for firefighters and racing car drivers’ uniforms, welders and in the oil and gas industry. Through processing fabrics with Proban®, it will transport your cotton-based fabric to a mighty Fire Resistant material by building this FR property into the structure of the fabric’s fibre. Equipped with a heavy-duty front zip accompanied by a press stud over-fastening, these boilersuits offer easy wear and removal, combining functionality and convenience
