I would advise filing away the paint on the inside of the A pillar on your car or van to apply the grounding strip on the dab aerial to though, it doesn’t say you have to do this in the instruction s but I believe it will provide a much solid ground if it’s applied to bare metal rather than paint thus providing a better signal, it’s certainly worked well for me.
