About this deal

Getting extra moves or rolls are pretty strong, so be sure to keep your Shas’ui alive! Pathfinders Rules No more waiting around for your turn – both players swap between activating one operative at a time , so you’re never more than a minute away from the action. 16. Blow Up a Whole Squad of ‘Umies With a Squig T’au military strategy focuses around two main doctrines – Mont’ka, the Killing Blow, and Kauyon, the Patient Hunter – and the Shas’ui Pathfinder can use his Art of War ability to call on one of these for a powerful turn-long bonus.

As a T’au war fleet bears down on the Vedik system to reclaim it from Imperial hands (admittedly, hands they originally took it from in the first place ) Pathfinder teams range ahead to disrupt the defenders. Led by combat veterans with many years of experience, they creep through rubble to gather information and assassinate targets with ruthless efficiency. It’s been a tumultuous few weeks for Kill Team, and a busy time since our last Meta Analysis. We’ve seen the release of a balance dataslate in March, a series of big FAQ updates in April, and the release of a new Kill Team with the Void Dancer Troupe. This past weekend marks the first to incorporate results from the new FAQ, and so now felt like a good time to revisit the Kill Team meta and talk about what’s working and how things have changed. This is your Leader, so you have to bring him in your Kill Team, but he’s also a decent fighter with a 3+ Ballistic Skill and a Bonding Knife that’s actually not a terrible melee weapon, I’m beginning to really appreciate these double-sided gaming boards. Just having that pop of colour beneath the bases of your figures can make all the difference when playing a game. Meanwhile, the T’au Pathfinders build upon their existing kit with an upgrade sprue full of advanced technology. Prototype weapons, advanced bionics, and sophisticated drone control systems ensure they always have the right tool for any job.Glorious Martyrdom is really sweet for only 1 CP, if you can get a Novitiate up close and she does get incapacitated, this could dish out the damage and gain you a decent amount of Faith points. Pathfinders So please give me your suggestions for a good build. This guys will mainly play against DG for now, until some of us will decide to buy some new KTs. Whilst five of the scenery pieces are, indeed, the kind of low ruined walls one may expect to find littering the battlefield of any table top game of 40K, the final two bits of scenery, which are much larger sections of ruined buildings (or one ruined building if you position it in such a way) are enormous.

Despite being one of the oldest teams in Kill Team, Veteran Guardsmen still have what it takes to put up results. CAVE: Care not to glue down the Burst Cannon and care to firstly insert the Burst Cannon between parts A73 and A74 before gluing them together. Build the drone top and body separately and let everything dry a bit before connecting the drone top and body. As a flight stand I used the smallest stand to bring the drone height in line with those of my other drones.

As I did with the other guide, I’ll split this guide in two parts – the first part covering the possible options if you’ve only got the Chalnath Tau Pathfinder sprues and the second part about the assembly of the missing options with another Box of Tau Pathfinders and a Blister of Tactical Drones.

Take control of Veteran Guardsmen from the blighted world of Krieg, and use their diverse skill set to bring down the horrors of the 41st Millennium. You read that right – the kill team’s Gretchin has dug up some well-buried courage and can be found zipping all over the killzone with his trusty grappling hook. If you’re content with the two factions in Chalnath and just want to get playing, as I mentioned above GW do a couple of bundles to get you started, but once again they aren’t cheap. There’s the Rules Collection as well as the all-inclusive Essentials Collection. Unique actions are actions detailed on an operative’s datacard that only they can perform, such as the Dakka Dash action found on the example datacard. I think there is an effective engaged operative gameplan that focuses on setting up 5 markerlights on important opposing operatives on turn 1. Against elites this sort of gameplay pattern can make things look hopeless for opponents. Having Ion/Rail rifles delete big chunky elites with Bonded and BS 3+ makes the elite match up one of the easier ones for your team. When running this strategy it’s best to have the Killing Blow tac op, and Plant Signal Beacon. Since you can generally focus on 1 flank and push up to score Plant Signal Beacon, while applying lethal firepower.

The Pathfinder Kill Team is a Kill Team for the Games Workshop skirmish tabletop game Warhammer 40,000: Kill Team, and it is available in the Kill Team: Chalnath box set. So, not only is the Kill Team Compendium expensive, but it is also bereft of unique rules for a huge number of models. These unique rules for your models look as if they are going to be included in the Rules Manuals that come with each Kill Team expansion box. So, you’re going to have to spend even more money to get all the info you need for your faction. As a big fan of the Adepta Sororitas and a former T’au Empire collector, I am absolutely psyched to get into the good stuff in this box. T’au Pathfinder Squad

The standard operative, with markerlights and a pulse carbine. Surprisingly, having access to more markerlights and mission action doers is good in more than one match up. There are also times when you just need more opportunities and angles to put markerlights on opposing operatives, so don’t sleep on the standard shas’la. Blooded Pathfinder Fusion Grenade [4ep] – a small melta grenade. Again, taking the grenadier precludes paying 4ep for this one. In the past people loathed the triple fusion rush, but even then markerlights were better. Why spend an operative throwing a grenade when you could shoot them down with superior ranged firepower? CAVE: You can build either Shas’ui Pathfinder variant. I decided on variant B, feel free to choose variant A if you prefer that one, but keep in mind to switch out the necessary parts accordingly. Another thing I recommend with this and all following models is to firstly apply the legs to the torso and then place the body on the base and continue building from there – for me it was way easier to handle the models and also you can apply a bit more pressure to make the feet and base connect properly. I also recommend to firstly glue down the head and to connect the antenna afterwards – same reasoning as above, you can apply more pressure to the head to ensure a proper connection without worrying to break / snip something off.The Pulse Accelerator drone can boost a group of Pathfinders through proximity alone. If you pair this with the Bonded Strategic Ploy, you can create a reliable shooting core with any Pathfinders.
