Swagger– From the Red Zone collection, Swagger has become the most popular Old Spice scent, at least in the body wash category. That is how I first became familiar with this fragrance, after purchasing a smaller travel size before leaving on a trip. High Endurance Fresh– I’m pretty sure that this is only available as an antiperspirant deodorant. However, Fresh is a simple and straightforward performer, that I have been using.

If you’re in any way unsure, you can perform a patch test to make sure that you won’t suffer any ill effects when using the deodorant. If you like a scent that makes you feel adventurous then I’d recommend Volcano. Old Spice says it’s made from ‘citrus, amber, and bravery’, I don’t know if the scent will ensure that you’ll suddenly be filled with courage but it is sure to boost your confidence.

Let’s start by considering your scent options as that’s the thing that’ll stand out most. The great thing about the Old Spice collection is that you’ve got just as many choices as you would when choosing a cologne. OK, maybe not quite, but you understand what I’m trying to tell you.

A lot of men’s deodorants have a spicy or woody smell but being masculine can mean being fresh too. That’s why I love Refresh as it has an uplifting citrus scent that’s perfect for hot weather. Not only does it do a good job of covering odors but it just feels summery and vibrant. One of the standout features of this deodorant is its aluminum-free formula. This is particularly appealing for those who prefer to avoid aluminum-based products or have sensitive skin. Despite being aluminum-free, this deodorant effectively neutralizes odor, keeping you feeling fresh and protected. Chocolate and sandalwood are going to be the main attractions here. Sweet, rich, but the woods keeps it from going into hyper-candy mode. This is sort of the ‘Axe Dark Temptation’, of the Old Spice lineup. Nightpanther by Old Spice– The NightPanther comes out at night, “because he works days”, according to the tag line. And what you get with this one, is suited for that time of day. While Fiji goes tropical with the woods, Timber is more mountainous in its aroma, and utilizes sandalwood as its main note.

Honestly, this is one that would be fine for women or men. Good performance, as well. It’s a great body spray candidate. Sandalwood is one of my favorite woody scents so you can imagine my delight when I stumbled across Timber which has a heavy sandalwood fragrance. That said, if you’re not a fan of this sweet, woody scent, you might find this a little too much. This is another one that delivers a very clean fragrance, with a nice citrus sharpness, which settles down to a manly edge. Dynasty– Dynasty is another option from the same series as Royalty. While that’s more of a smooth fruit based scent, Dynasty gives you a smooth leather with a touch of spice (much like the touch of cognac in Royalty). Some men may find the floral element a little too feminine but that’s a matter of personal opinion. I feel it gives the scent a nice balance. Also, this is quite a youthful scent so the deodorant is much better suited to guys who want to show off their fun side rather than to display sophistication and class. 8. Old Spice Pure Sport Old Spice Pure Sport

Fresh High Endurance isn’t an Old Spice fragrance that you will use to stand out. It is a classic attractive smell, with no frills, and actually performs extremely well. This stuff works. For two days, if I'm busy and don't get a shower in. I primarily used their white-container scents previously (Fuji, Timber w/ Sandalwood, etc.) and they worked fine - but often struggled to go 18h without the stank coming on, and I'd not infrequently get skin irritation. This stuff far surpasses the performance, with less skin irritation. Old Spice advertises this as one of their ‘premium’ fragrances and it does feel a lot more like a cologne than an antiperspirant. For this reason, I think it’s great for an evening out when you want to layer your scent. I really liked the smell of the body wash version when I sniffed it in-store. Dynasty for sure had to make the list, with its rather simple, but very attractive modern take on a classic style.

Probably the least ‘masculine’ of the lot, but is going to appeal to plenty of folks. Out of the classic styles of Old Spice deodorant scents, Fresh has been the best on that I’ve tried.

You first need to think about how and where you’re going to wear the deodorant. While this may be the base of your scent that you’ll layer with cologne, it’ll still be prominent throughout the day. If you’re going to a church service with your grandmother, you’ll want a much more conservative scent than you’d choose if you were going to a nightclub.

Plus, the sandalwood here isn’t bad for being a body wash, but it certainly isn’t like a high end cologne. Bearglove Wild Collection– The name Bearglove is stupid, the smell is actually pretty great. The notes are listed as apple, citrus, and spice. There’s a bit of sharpness, plenty of sweetness, but all in all an appealing and still masculine scent. It’s manly without being overpowering so it’s a great choice for going to the office, meeting up with friends, and even doing the school run. But what many users have noticed is that the original scent isn’t quite the same as the true original which can be disappointing if that’s what you were expecting. That said, this modern take is great for the contemporary guy. 10. Old Spice Dynasty Old Spice Dynasty I like it, not as sweet as some of the others on the list, but you shouldn’t expect that from something named after a sea monster. I am also impressed with the longevity of this deodorant's performance. It provides reliable odor protection throughout the day, even during physically demanding activities or in warmer environments. This is essential for maintaining confidence and feeling at ease in any situation.
