If you’ve never heard of this concept before, it may seem a little confusing at first. In reality, it’s pretty simple though. You isolate your guitar or bass’ clean signal and send that to one amplifier, then isolate the wet signal that is affected by your pedals and send that into a separate amplifier. The majority of guitar players and gearheads out there are under the impression that the Mooer blue comp is a clone of the Boss CS-2. If I'm honest, it was only until I did some investigating that I discovered this is in fact incorrect. The Mooer Blue comp is actually a clone of the often forgotten about, very rare, and old Boss CS-1 compressor. There are a few characteristics and features of the Mooer Blue compressor that give away the fact that its a CS- clone. The colors are also pretty darn similar. Thus, further confirming confirmation that this is a clone. The video down below this is a fantastic demonstration of the Mooer Ana Echo Vs Boss Dm-2. Listen carefully as it can be quite hard to distinguish between the two pedals. As I've already said above, I do tend to find that the Boss has a more "analog" sound if that makes sense. There's honestly just something about the decaying notes that the Boss DM-2 produces which the Mooer Ana Echo misses out on slightly. Completely unnoticeable in a gig or live band setting. Chorus is an instantly recognizable effect that divides opinion. I think every guitarist should have a chorus pedal. It’s such an immersive effect that manages to completely alter the feel of a guitar, without obliterating the natural, clean tone.

Additionally, the GK-23 uses a BDD chip to produce high quality, authentic-sounding chorus. It does a great job of producing very little noise and has a true bypass design to keep your tonal integrity firmly intact. The worlds greatest electric guitar player, Jimi Hendrix used a silicon Fuzz Face. And, if achieving a similar tone to Jimi is what you're after, I suggest starting with one of these. Now, the Silicon Fuzz face is still available on the market today. Despite having gone through different companies, Dunlop now makes these in pretty much the same fashion as the old ones. They can, however, become quite costly. But, the Mooer Blue Faze is a particularly good clone for a budget pedal. I'd love to be able to get my hands on a Mooer Blue Comp Vs Boss CS-1 comparison. Or even a Blue Comp vs Boss CS-2 comparison. However, I've yet to find any of these. For the meantime, I have added a demo of the Mooer Blue comp so you can get an idea of how it sounds like a compressor pedal. Many have asked about the difference between the two sounds of the "Normal" and "Treble" switch. Essentially, the Normal setting accentuates the sustain more. The flex boost is, in fact, a drive pedal which can also be used as a boost. Whereas the pure boost is a clean boost. In my opinion, the flex should actually be called an overdrive pedal.

My Review: The GK-23 is an affordable chorus pedal with a stylish design and minimalistic controls. It’s the type of pedal that does what is required without creating any unnecessary complications. Compact and convenient, the pedal has two core controls that form its foundation. Who is this best suited for: Boss stompboxes are known for being durable, solid, and reliable. Therefore, I’d recommend the CE-2W chorus pedal to guitarists who are likely to use the pedal a lot. Touring musicians will know the importance of using well-built and robust pedals due to the inevitable bumps that occur during transportation. Built like a tank, the CE-2W can withstand almost anything.Who is this best suited for: If you require a high-quality, vintage-sounding chorus but don’t have unlimited funds to spend, the Mooer Ensemble is a good compromise between price and performance. Its compact size makes it ideal for busy pedalboards. My Review: Electro-Harmonix has nailed every modulation pedal they’ve produced, with the Small Stone phaser pedal one of their finest offerings. Similarly, the Small Clone chorus pedal is extremely simple to use and sounds great.
