About this deal

Levin, Tim (15 April 2021). "Matchbox will sell an eco-friendly Tesla Roadster toy, and you'll probably be able to buy one before the real thing". Business Insider . Retrieved 15 July 2021.

The three dominant brands in the world at the time, all British-made ( Dinky, Matchbox and Corgi), were very successful. Each had its own market niche and its own strong reputation, while innovations and advances by one were adopted by the others within a matter of a few years. Each also expanded to some extent into the others' territory, though this never seemed to seriously affect the sales of any brand's core series. Catalogues - With the help of Miguel Duque we finally could add the English version of the 1977 Matchbox catalogue. Added a guided tour on the whereabouts of the Matchbox brand name in the nineties when licenced to Revell.

Multi-colored Matchbox kits have been produced up to 1990, but Revell continued the range and revamped it during their ten year lease period. Does anybody else have good memories of Matchbox kits...or any other demised kit manufacturers for that matter? (Airfix excluded as I refuse to believe that they have demised!!!) from 1991 up to 2001. See our guided tours section for more details. Under Revell-Matchbox you find all kits released in this period. See also: Lesney Products A 1953-55 Lesney-Matchbox Road Roller, one of the first toys to be produced under the Matchbox name

Dinky collecting is centred around the UK and France, Corgi collecting in the UK, and Hot Wheels collecting in North America. Only Matchbox collecting is popular in the UK, Commonwealth countries and in North America. A live-action film adaptation produced by Mattel Films was announced in January 2022. [14] Later that year, Skydance Media joined in making the film with Mattel Films. [15] Matchbox collectors [ edit ]An intermediate version of the boxart shows the "Aerobatic Teams" emblem but still with the camouflaged aircraft on the box.

Aircraft - instruction sheets for PK-29, PK-41, PK-126, PK-128, new variations on the PK-19 Mikoyan MiG-21 and PK-29 A-4M Skyhawk that show how gradual the changes in box type and design took place. Specials - A special last run of the Mirage IIIB for an Italian magazine in 1995 by Revell and a limited edition of the BAC 167 Mk.80 Strikemaster issued by Revell in 2011.This section needs additional citations for verification. Please help improve this article by adding citations to reliable sourcesin this section. Unsourced material may be challenged and removed. A whole new category has been added for the purple aircraft range that we somehow completely missed out before... of larger aircraft and ships and vehicles as well. The majority of the aircraft kit ranges were molded in three colors.
