KitchenAid started as a single product idea. Ohio based engineer, Herbert Johnston, designed and developed a kitchen mixer that would automate the process of mixing bread dough. The introduction of new products, innovative new designs, and a full gamut of colours to what was once the white goods industry, saw the US company cement themselves as one of the most iconic home goods design.
