For my bubble sessions I plan them to be 40mins each. So if I am doing an event I would do 2x40mins, 3x40mins, 4x40mins or 5x40mins. Each 40mins I would prepare at least 15pints/8.5litres of giant bubble solution. If its is windy I would use it all in 40mins, if its not so windy I am usually left with some. The reason for this is because if it is windy I would use my net a lot more and the net will soak up more mix. (TIP- However if its very windy and you know you are going to be using your net more then you can add more water to your mixture.)
