SPT+: Smart Port+ enables the charge port to accept auxiliary accessories such as rear lights, remote switches, Support Cells and use your light as a power bank to charge USB devices. Also, although this light is road specific (there are the Toro and MaXx for off-road) the bar clamp is sized for a 35mm bar. These are increasingly common for mountain bikes, but road bars tend to be 31.8mm. This means that in addition to the two halves of the split clamp, you have two spacers to keep control of as well. Delivery timescales are esimates in working days; Public Holidays, Saturday's and Sunday's are NOT classed as working days. Little LEDs alongside the button shine for a couple of seconds to tell you which mode you're in. Green indicates high, amber is medium and low is red, which is pretty easy to remember. The LEDs then become battery level indicators, again using a traffic light sequence, giving you plenty of opportunity to switch to a low power mode if you're running on fumes. The lowest power constant mode has a run-time of 36hrs so you really shouldn't get caught out. Exposure prints all of the various run-times on the bottom of the aluminium casing, and in my experience they're pretty accurate. The Sirius from Exposure Lights the ultimate “to be seen” front light, now with the output increased to 900 lumens to light the road ahead in the dark nights. The Sirius hits the sweet spot for power to weight, housed in a CNC machined aluminium body that features 240° front and side illumination giving the flexibility to be used for the daily commute or longer rides.Smart Port+ enables the charge port to accept auxiliary accessories such as rear lights, remote switches, Support Cells and use your light as a power bank to charge USB devices. Fuel Gauge The rear emits a powerful 75 lumens, or up to 120 using ReACT technology, which is an intelligent system that meansit flares under braking and adapts to ambient light conditions; brightening in well-lit areas and dimming when you move into darker or shady zones. Exposure Sirius Mk10 the ultimate “to be seen” front light, now with the output increased to 900 lumens to light the road ahead in the dark nights. The Sirius hits the sweet spot for power to weight, housed in a CNC machined aluminium body that features 240° front and side illumination giving the flexibility to be used for the daily commute or longer rides. The lens of the Exposure Sirius Mk9 Daybright bike light focuses the beam into a super bright spot that over shines all other similar lights when compared. This is surrounded by a good spread of light on the peripheral to enhance road and hazard perception, while also delivering excellent side visibility. But great as the light is, there are some downsides – most of which centre around the clamp. Although the executions feel super high quality, the split clamp design does make it easy for the two halves to come apart.

You get what you pay for and this is a beautifully designed light built in the UK. It’s not outrageous for what it is but it’s also not a bargain. Exposure does list the basic numbers. This light puts out 1600 lumens at full power and has a 10,200 mAh Li-Ion battery that will sustain it for two hours at that power level. From there, the key statement is "Burn time and lumen output are directly proportional, if you double the run time, you halve the lumen output." That's your guidance for figuring out what you get across the seven programs that feature a mix of three, and sometimes two, power levels. The clamping system is easy to use and mount to the bars with the single Allen bolt. The light is just as easy to attach to the clamp and removal is totally intuitive. I've never felt like I've needed any more light for the commute than the Sirius offers. You get good side visibility too, courtesy of a lens that extends well forward of the body of the light, a hood in the aluminium casing preventing any of that light shining up into your eyes. On the other hand, I would want a wider beam for a fast training ride out in the lanes, for which the Sirius isn't intended. Like many of Exposure’s lights, the Strada MK10 SB features the Optimised Mode Selector (OMS) function. The optimum number of light settings is always a bit of a balance – whilst it’s nice to have a range of choices, if there are too many it can make switching between them quite a pain.Exposure does sell a smaller clamp designed for 25.4mm to 31.8mm bars, which would be a much better inclusion as it opens up compatibility for older, skinnier handlebars. Optimised Mode Selector - Various programs in the lights can easily be selected to offer a choice of run times and modes so you can find the right one for your ride, be it an all-night adventure or an intense blast. ReAKT - Rear lighting that flares up automatically under braking. It can also intelligently adapt to the surrounding ambient light conditions to maintain maximum contrast and visibility, for example brightening for street lit areas and moving into sunlight from shade. That doesn't mean it's perfect though. Although the DC power port works, there's no need for it. It's entirely possible to create a sealed connection with a USB-C cable and save everyone the hassle of dealing with something that isn't as common. As well thought out as the rest of the light is, requiring adapters doesn't make the same sense. The same basic thinking goes for the burn time vs power discussion. I did the research and helped you with the maths so that we can both understand how to calculate the desired runtime vs power. It doesn't make a ton of sense to require that though, Exposure could test the light and publish a burn time chart saving a bit of hassle.

Thanks to Exposure's Optimised Mode Selector (OMS), all of these settings are customisable; that's to say, you can extend run-times by reducing the lumens. ITM: Patented circuitry within the light will reduce power to the LEDs, if they go beyond the optimum temperature, keeping the light as efficient as possible to maximise output and battery capacity. Once cooled the output is automatically restored. Smart Port+ Technology - Smart Port+ enables the charge port to accept auxiliary accessories such as rear lights, remote switches, Support Cells and use your light as a power bank to charge USB devices. Day Bright: Bespoke pulse pattern designed for daylight use which is more conspicuous than a regular pulse and visible from over a kilometre away, even in the brightest conditions. DayBright mode will get you noticed. Be Seen Be Safe. The complex lower optic gives a really good spread of broad distortion- and shadow-free light from the front wheel out to where it blends smoothly with the spot too. That gives plenty of roadside context and ‘corner look around’ if things get twisty. The lowest power setting in each mode only uses the lower LED to prevent the spot from potentially dazzling drivers, too. Alternatively, the Strada MK10 Aktiv has a light sensor that automatically dims the light as soon as it senses oncoming traffic.
