At first I was not entirely sold on the series. The art was sublime but I was (and still am to a degree) not entirely latched onto the characters present. However since chapter 18 or so and into chapter 22 (the time I am writing this) it seems Isihida hasTwo Guys and a Girl: Tokio, Ely, and Azuma are the three main characters who attend school together. Let’s start with the plot. Since there’s only two chapters I can’t quite get into too much detail about the plot yet, but from what I’ve read, I can tell Ishida has put lots of effort and planning into this. The biology references are really fun to analyze and research and you can see foreshadowing take place in many moments that seem minor. The entire story feels like a fever dream, but in a good way. It’s one of the most unique, crazy stories I’ve The concept of nation-states as a whole has collapsed around the world, with the only existing form of government being self-governed local prefectures. The story primarily takes place in a portion of Japan called Yamato, as in after the Japanese ethnic group. Culturally, Japan (or at least Yamato) has embraced more of a Monotheistic religion, apparently Catholicism or something similar, rather than Shinto and Buddhism in real life, thanks to important religious figures of the past that shaped Yamato’s history. Now, the characters are very unique, focusing on two seemingly different, yet very similar protagonists. I personally have never read a manga with two different protagonists, but I’m liking it so far. Choujin X, Vol. 1". Viz Media. Archived from the original on October 25, 2022 . Retrieved October 25, 2022. Promotion to Parent: After their mom disappeared and their dad died, Shiozaki had to take care of his siblings on his own. Pretty mediocre and nothing special so far. I didn't expect Sui Ishida would out-do his masterpiece TG with ease and I was right. The plotline is very predictable and you wouldn't really be surprised by anything. That said, it is Sui Ishida we are talking about, so I'm expecting much more. Finally, after three years, I have my cats on one side, my coffee on the other, and a new Ishida Sui manga, this is heaven to me, this is what heaven feels like, or maybe... hell? Who knows...
