About this deal

The WRAS approval determines that this product can be used in all UK domestic plumbing applications including drinking water installations – as well as central heating and underfloor heating applications.

Reducer - If a pipe needs to change diameter a reducer fixture connects the different sized ends together. If there's a copper or brass end feed capillary fitting you need, BES has it. Our unbeatable collection includes elbow fittings, tee joints, reducers, stop ends & more. Stainless Steel – Often used for aesthetic reasons where plumbing is exposed. More corrosion resistant than copper but more rigid. Whether you’re working for parts for a domestic heating system, exterior commercial system or simply want fittings with improved corrosion resistance, we have the stainless steel fittings you need. Stainless steel screwed, flexible, compression, tube and press-fit ranges are available. Couplers - These have two threaded ends that allow two pipes or tubes to be joined, welded (steel), brazed or soldered (copper, brass etc.) together.PVC & ABS – light and non-toxic. They have more 'give' than copper therefore when water freezes and expands in the piping there is little chance of it busting. Our press-fit fittings range includes connectors, reducers, tees, elbows, couplers & more from top brands such as IBP Conex >B<, Pegler and BESt. We pride ourselves on having everything covered when it comes to pipe fittings. Our full range includes: Our high-quality compression fittings selection includes adaptors, couplers, elbows, nuts, olives, stop ends, tees, tank connectors & many more.

Pipe fittings can be made in many different materials. Some materials are better for some functions than others: The standard barbed fitting is used for connecting 16mm LDPE pipe together. The Fittings are made in the EU using UV stabilised plastic. The sharp barbs make sure that the Joint is reliable and once fitted they are rated to 6 bar unlike normal domestic barbed fittings that are rated to pressures between 2.1 and 2.8 bar. The reason for this superior performance is the and number of barbs and their shape. Once fitted they are almost impossible to remove and if a mistake is made in many cases they have to be cut off. This is because of the size and sharpness of the barb and this can only be made with precise tooling and technical expertise found in European factories. Using Barbed Fittings At BES, we offer a comprehensive range of refrigeration fittings, including tees, elbows, reducers, and end caps.Threaded fittings made with stainless steel take advantage of the metal’s strength, resistance to corrosion and ease of cleaning. Types of stainless steel threaded pipe fittings Solder fittings, also known as capillary fittings, are short sections of smooth pipe designed to slide over the outside of the mating tube. Solder wire is fed then around the edge of the fitting and heated to seal it. Stainless steel solder fittings benefit from the metals strength, resistance to corrosion and ease of cleaning. Barbed fittings can be pushed straight in to 16 mm outside diameter LDPE pipe. This is however a lot of pushing and can be made much easier by heating the pipe prior to installation. If you are fitting a few fittings then leaving the pipe in a warm place over night or in the sun during the day will ease installation however if you are fitting a lot of them then you should heat the end of the pipe in some very hot water or heat it using a Blow torch. If you are using a blow torch then position the pipe in the flame so that the heat is evenly spread round the pipe. Hold it in the flame for 2 seconds and then remove it from the flame. Now insert the barbed fitting in to the pipe. Elbow - These fittings are installed between two pipes to create a change of direction. They have either a 90 or 45 degree bend in the centre.

Elbow fittings are used to connect pipes at curved angles (such as 90 degree and 45 degree curves) depending on the modelBrass Oyster™ converters are available in our range of Oyster System. Suitable for use on heating and potable water systems, Oyster converters connect copper tubes to female threaded fittings, radiators and valves. All the pipe fittings to get the job done Iron – Malleable (ductile) iron is a good choice in industry because it is stronger than copper and plastic but it is rarely used in domestic installations. Copper – can withstand very high temperatures. Always used for the final connections made to boilers/ furnaces for central heating.
