But what made this picture book one of my favorite reads so far this year was the sweet, simple message. Don’t judge a book by the cover. A message I know we all know, but comes through with such fun and love and life for young readers here. A message that needs to be said again and again. We all should remember to look past appearances or reputations or even growls to see someone’s heart. Yeti and Bird give the idea and heartfelt message a new feel and look. I mean what’s not to love about a Yeti? :D Write a report about yetis. Where do they live? What do they eat? Do they have any special adaptations?
