It had everything I wanted; broody and grey mmc, passionate and cute fmc and there were the small moments. I have so many highlights in the first half it’s ridiculous. I really thought it was going to be a solid 5 stars( I even called it to my sister) Somehow, four strangers who had been randomly assigned to the same dorm room their freshman year of college had evolved into what we were now—a beautifully messy, perfectly imperfect family that’d gone through our share of ups and downs but made it through to the other side. Her books have done amazingly well, and are so widely loved�� its absolutely amazing, and I’m very happy for her. She seems incredibly sweet— but her writing is just not for me.I loved Alex and Ava’s relationship. It was so fun to see Alex slowly fall in love with Ava throughout the book. The groveling was the perfect amount. Everything was just 🤌 chef’s kiss. May have been the shortest book in the series, but it was a good one. the identity of the stalker was kind of a let down. it would’ve been more exciting if it were someone we already knew like Brayden the manager or the bell boy guy, but who tf was Julian 😂 . And the whole reason for him being dormant for 2 years, his delusions and his endgame was so sloppy. I loved how it was resolved tho. How christian took care of stella after and how christian took care of the stalker after. Ava Chen is a person who likes to be free and not tied down. However, she has nightmares about her childhood that she can’t remember. Even though she has had a difficult past, she still sees the beauty in the world. She also sees the kind heart inside a man who seems cold outside. She shouldn’t be attracted to this man because he is her brother’s best friend and neighbor. He becomes both her savior and her downfall. Their love was not supposed to happen, but when it does, it brings out secrets that could ruin both of them and everything they care about. Twisted Games None of these things make her cute, or give her a personality. She just really irritated me. I feel like I’ve babysat 7 year olds who acted like this.Bridget von Ascheberg. Towards the end of the book she says she realises what a bAd BoY Christian is and that he’s capable of BaD tHiNgS *yawn* Olive Torres never thought she would go on a honeymoon trip to Hawaii with her sworn enemy, Ethan Thomas. There were so many small parts of the book that I noticed and just really hated. Like christian telling Stella he doesn’t want any men looking at her, or touching her. And if they do, Christian will kill them. And Christian wants to be able to touch Stella, and if he can’t; then he will die. Those are his exact words. So, I don’t know if that was meant to be attractive or romantic, but honestly— it just sounded like manipulation, possessiveness, and obsession to me. The guy he was about to crush with a barbell but didn’t??She's nothing he expected and everything he never knew he needed. Regal, strong-willed and bound by the chains of duty.
