The SF600 is meant for seed starting and vegetative growth. Ideally, you would set this up above a long, skinny table or shelf with rectangular seed trays. On the plus side, the SF1000 is a very well-built grow light, with a premium driver. The diodes are also spaced in a unique pattern, with more LEDs near the edges, and fewer in the middle. For value, it’s either Mars Hydro or Spider Farmer. They’re very similar all around. The primary difference is that Mars uses Epistar chips, while Spider Farmer uses higher quality Samsung chips. That means the PPF efficacy of Spider Farmer SF-1000 is approximately 2.45 μmol/J. Compared to other models, this is a phenomenal value. The table above shows the differences in specs.
