About this deal

The story line is simple, but it doesn't need to be complex. It's all about the tension... Payton and JD work at the same law firm... Tension... They hate each other... Tension... They realise they might not actually hate each other after all... Tension... Loads of funny and heart warming stuff happens, the end.

I think this bled into another aspect I didn’t like. I want my female main characters to be feisty and be able to stand up for themselves. But she needs to do it for her, and it needs to be driven BY HER… Why is it that this man that she's with is the first person to see who she is and the first person that she can “actually” talk to, WHEN SHE IS SO CLOSE TO HER FAMILY, I wanted her to find herself, and not meet a man as the catalyst to find herself. I'm all for woman empowerment and not being rescued. And it felt like she could only be her true self when she found a guy! And wasn’t able to be herself without him. We find out at the end that all this time her reputation has been undermined with the boss, the hero sabotaged her with a cruel and unnecessary lie eight years prior. He told their boss he slept with her as a one time deal on his office desk. Of course, he didn't. What an awful thing to do to somebody. The excuse he gives to a friend, who was rightly appalled, was so lame. He threw the heroine under the bus because their boss teased him about the way he was looking at her when they first met. I must note that I may be biased because I recently finished Law School and I found traces of my future in this book, but still Practice Makes Perfect is such a funny and sweet and hot story you can't possibly resist!!And if there is the slightest possibility I may find my J.D. while working my ass off, bring it on baby!!(or not?)

The names Annie came up with for Will’s full name — this had me dying and when he took pictures of her during the moments when she wasn’t looking bc he thought she deserved pretty pictures of herself and to collect them all for her to have ugh it was so cute I feel like I read a completely different book than everyone else. I was promised a lighthearted, entertaining romance with lots of laughs. So why am I so annoyed right now? Having finished her assessment, Payton supposed that, if pressed, in that upper-crusty, Ralph Lauren-y, sweater-thrown-over the shoulders, have-you-met-my-polo-pony kind of way, J.D. was pretty damn good-looking. ok anyway i feel like theres 10 billion other things i could ramble on about and if you’re still not sold on how much fun i had reading this i have tons of updates you can go through and see more of my obnoxiousness. J.D. x Payton, these two main characters are smart, witty, sassy, and being successful attorneys, I LOVE THEM! This book is also refer to Austen's Pride and Prejudice.. Arrogant Guy and Strong feity Girl, I think. Loved the lawyering element in the book, too. Julie James is pretty good at writing about them.

Julie James is the most wonderful author! Her debut got me hooked and the FBI series is divine – and is one of my favorites of all times. I went into this book with high expectations (both the first and the second time around) and I was not disappointed. I loved this book! It's one of those cases where no words are good enough – I just conclude that Julie James and I are a match made in heaven. Florist Annie Walker is determined to find someone who complements her life. But after overhearing her latest date describe her as 'so unbelievably boring', Annie wonders if the problem might be her. Is it too late to become flirtatious and fun like the leading ladies in her favourite romance movies? Maybe she only needs some practice . . . and Annie has the perfect tutor in mind. Overall; the book had lots of witty and sarcastic remarks and the bantering between the main characters. It was hel of fun to watch those two idiots trying to sabotage each other. That shoe accident -I still cant laughing about that. The pranks were so over the top lol. J.D. ignored the sarcasm. “The playing field isn’t level—that’s the problem. Now maybe you’re comfortable accepting that, but I’m not. You know as well as I do that these days, if a man and a woman are equally qualified for a position, the woman gets the job. It’s this socially liberal, politically correct society we live in. Men have to be twice as good at what they do to remain competitive in the workplace. Women just have to stay in the race.” See, you just don’t understand women the way I do, J.D. They want it all: a career, apple martinis, financial independence, great shoes; but at the same time—and this they’ll never admit—they are drawn to patriarchal men who are dominant and controlling. That’s the essence of the Darcy complex. He may be an asshole, but he’s an asshole that gets the girl in the end.”Definitely better than When in Rome, by a lot. From the first paragraph, I could tell this will be a good one. The male protagonist, Will, is a body guard and ex-military. He hates romantic relationships because of his parents bad marriage.

quential or similar damages that result from the use of or inability to use the work, even if any of them has been advised of the possibility of such dam-What ensues is nothing less than they've dealt with for years-forget the sweet things he said about her at their pitch dinner with the clients. Forget the sincere tone of her voice when she boasted how J.D. was an amazing lawyer. Forget ALL of it. This is war...and only one person can come out the victor. To add insult to injury the hero *never* bothers to set the record straight, he had the chance when the boss said that or later in a meeting. He owed it to her to tell the truth which he never did. work or any part of it without McGraw-Hill’s prior consent. You may use the work for your own noncommercial and personal use; any other use of the work Will is a sweetheart and he is great with Annie, but it was Annie who made this story for me. She can come off as juvenile sometimes, but there are a lot of little things I liked about her character. She surprised me many times, when she said or did something I didn't expect, and she can be really funny.
