About this deal

What they mean here by “impact of male hormones” is DHT, the byproduct of testosterone which is responsible for much of hair loss in both men and women. Do Androgens Really Cause Female Hair Loss? Plantur 39 claims that its products keep hair from falling out, and provide support and protection for damaged and stressed hair.

This is really a miracle in a bottle!!. I took my hair on a "winter break" to give it some rest before the summer, so I really had a good regrowth and was little skeptical if it really could cover my hair. What a surprise! After my first wash I could already see a change in colour at my roots. By the 5th wash I decided to keep the shampoo and conditioner on a bit longer than prescribed and in doing so, my regrowth was brown and my hair was not only silky smooth but shiny too. Plantur 39 recommends that you use their shampoo and conditioner often. In addition, they also recommend using the Plantur 39 tonic. This also contains caffeine, but unlike the shampoo and conditioner, you don’t wash it out.

This product is amazing for strengthening and hair loss. It was visibly noticeable that my hair loss was minimal when styling my hair after each wash. I had minimal breakage. It is true that caffeine does penetrate the skin easily ( 5). Furthermore, when applied topically, it is primarily absorbed through the hair follicles. This makes it very suitable as a topical treatment for hair growth. These claims from the makers of Plantur 39 are straightforward and accurately reflect the science. Is Plantur 39 Okay for Younger Women? Nature’s phyto active ingredients help the scalp protect itself from the consequences of decline estrogen levels. The caffeine in this shampoo prevents premature exhaustion of hair growth caused by the impacts of testosterone. The first thing I noticed was the colour of the shampoo – a rich and vibrant, very appealing kind of brown which is strange in a shampoo, but makes sense as it is meant to enhance your hair colour. What I also love about the product is the fact that the shampoo and conditioner is brown and it did not stain my hands or my towels. So no worries about brown hands or towels with this product!

Step 2: Follow with the Plantur 39 Color Brown Color Conditioner for a boost of color. Apply evenly to the entire hair - from roots to tips. Leave on for 2 to 5 minutes, depending on the color intensity desired. Then rinse. And finally, some mention a combination of the above: less hair loss, and improved hair texture and appearance. Before the menopause, hair roots are protected by high levels of female hormones (estrogen). After the menopause, estrogen levels will decline and the impact of male hormones (testosterone) will increase. The products also need to be left in the hair for about 5 minutes each, which can be inconvenient at times. I will definitely keep using this product, I can recommend this to anyone with brown hair. If you are not into the once a month hair dressing set-up, go for this! Most of the Plantur products contain synthetic caffeine, and they are all targeted at women over 40. Why? I will give these products a ten out of ten for effectiveness. It does exactly what it promises to do. Best of all is that you do not have to sacrifice moisture for colour. I usually suffer from dry dull looking hair but this added extra moisture and covered up most of my grey friends:-) Honestly speaking there are no cons for me when it comes to these products. Shampoo: Water, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, PEG-3 Distearate, Sodium Cocoamphoacetate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Chloride, Caffeine, Coco-Glucoside, Glyceryl Oleate, Panthenol, Propylene Glycol, Polyquaternium- 7, Phosphoric Acid, PEG-120 Methyl Glucose Dioleate, HC Blue No. 2, Sodium Hydroxide, Polyquaternium-10, 2-Amino-6-Chloro-4-Nitrophenol, Citric Acid, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Zinc PCA, Niacinamide, Tocopherol, Vegetable Oil, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Benzoate, Fragrance, Hexyl Cinnamal, Limonene, Linalool, Citronellol.

In male AGA, there is an established link between the male hormones (androgens) and hair loss. The main culpable androgen being DHT. Men who due to genetic mutations cannot synthesize DHT never go bald.I followed this routine for 10 days. Each day my hair felt amazing and soft. It smelt so divine that my colleagues asked me what I was using. The colour was a radiant brown. My grey however did not colour dark brown but changed to look blonde and blended in well with the brown. My regrowth was not as noticeable as before. Having said that, menopause is a time when many women will start to develop female AGA ( 3). It is possible that among this group of women, hormonal changes, including an estrogen/androgen imbalance, may play a role in hair loss. Why Caffeine? The Conditioner: The formula is very thin and also has a pleasant smell. I can understand why it is runnier though and the container really made is super easy to apply. Plantur39 does just that, within the 1st wash my hair regrowth significantly changed the greys took on a light brown colour.
