About this deal

With such an outrageous title and concept, one might assume that, with Rape Zombie: Lust of the Dead, director Naoyuki Tomomatsu is taking an OTT satirical swipe at Japan's obsession with sexual violence. Several scenes inspired by Dawn of the Dead, in which intellectuals and feminists debate the nature of the epidemic, go some way to support the idea. I'm not convinced, though: I'm guessing that the real purpose of the film is to get lots of Japanese girls naked and to throw in some cheap gore effects. And, boy, are they ever cheap: rubbishy After Effects CGI blood splats (the only way to kill a zombie is to shoot it in the penis!) and rubbery prosthetics abound, with some even worse effects saved for the apocalyptic nuclear aftermath ending, in which North Korea bombs Japan (and a lesbian couple have a baby-no man involved?!?!) Tomomatsu mixed genres with his pink film-thriller-gangster movie Kogyaru-gui: Oosaka terekura hen (コギャル喰い 大阪テレクラ篇), known in English as Eat the Schoolgirl or Eating Schoolgirls: Osaka Telephone Club, released in Japan March 10, 1997. [2] [3] The film, which Tomomatsu directed and co-wrote, follows two young men working for the yakuza, one of them a telephone-sex addict, the other gets sexual gratification from killing while dressed as a schoolgirl. A reviewer described it as "one depraved sex scene after another". [4] It was also released as a DVD in May 2004. [5]

I hate when I come across a series of films I had never seen before and when I toss them in I find myself not liking them. I can’t stand starting a series of films and not finishing them. When I sit down with one I have to watch them all. Sadly, when I tossed in Lust of the Dead I wasn’t expecting to come across a series of films that was almost unwatchable. The first two films in the series was a rough watch and the third and final film on the blu was standing in my way to freedom. I really wanted to like this series but I had extremely low expectations for the third film.

Tomomatsu was born in Osaka, Japan in 1967. He was interested in manga and film from high school and started working as an office assistant to manga artist Shungicu Uchida. In 1992, he wrote his first screenplay for Shintōhō Eiga's pink film The Pregnant Woman (ザ・妊婦). His first film as a director was the independently produced Summer Color Romance ( 夏色浪漫, Natsu shoku rōman) in 1992 but he made his debut as a commercial director in 1993 for ENK (ENKプロ) with the film Baraado ni idaka re te (バラードに抱かれて), for which he also wrote the screenplay. Due to some weird phenomenon, males everywhere are turning "toxic". They start bleeding from their eyes and start raping every female they see. The females have to band together to fight off ravenous hordes of "rape zombies", who have highly poisonous semen to boot, and can only be killed by castration or a gun blast to the genitals. The funniest scenes involve female soldiers forming firing squads to execute "toxic males", who are bound and dressed in bulls-eye underwear so they know exactly where to shoot. The castration and genital blasting jokes wouldn't offend anyone in America, but many people would take the rape scenes way too seriously. Hordes of male "rape zombies" penetrate females who all conveniently have their silicone-enhanced breasts exposed and bouncing around, and of course they eventually end up enjoying the experience, at least before the poison semen does them in. But if you don't let your PC panties get in a bunch, you'll realize these "rape scenes" are every bit as ridiculous and funny as the firing-squad scenes. Based on the title alone, I anticipated Rape Zombie: Lust of the Dead (2012) to be a rough watch. You have to admire a film that wears its plot on its sleeve, and with DVD box art bursting with cheesecake, there is little mystery as to what kind of exploitative nonsense will be thrown on the screen. Rest assured, this movie completely delivers on its promise of zombies, rape, and pretty girls in cute costumes, so there shouldn’t be many surprises on what kind of film it will be. And yet… Personally I think that director Naoyuki Tomomatsu was spending a little too much time filming staged rape scenes with poor-looking zombies, instead of focusing on establishing a proper movie. place: Chikan Densha: Suggestive Indecent Hips ( 痴漢電車 挑発する淫ら尻, Chikan densha: chōhatsusuru midara shiri )The story in "Rape Zombie: Lust of the Dead" is about a strange phenomena that turns men into rapists and after awhile they turn into zombie rapists. And women all over the world are in dire peril. Rape Zombie spends a lot of its runtime showing rape for the grotesque freakshow it is, making the men stupidly animalistic and ramping up the squishy sound effects for ultimate repulsion. Many scenes run so long and are so over-the-top they trip into porn parody, but this movie has too much story to write it off as simple spank-bank material. And surprisingly, the story is actually very engaging and makes the sex scenes rather boring in comparison. If you enjoy trashy Asian exploitation, Lust of the Dead is just about worth a watch, but it's far from essential. 4.5 out of 10, rounded up to 5 for IMDb.

The acting in this one is, as you already guessed, very weak and not that entertaining. The cast does come to life during the nude scenes but aside from that they sizzle and fade out. I assume that the cast was getting paid in peanuts because no one is putting forth any real effort. The story for this one is funny in a way and definitely can be offensive to some. With that being said, the execution of this one is all wrong. The use of green screens and poor editing makes this story extremely difficult to follow. I wanted to love this one but after about 20 minutes I was ready to cut it off. The story and the way it was approached was somewhat painful to watch.Exposure to radiation causes men to turn into zombie rapists, whose victims die from their toxic ejaculate. Four women women try to survive the outbreak, seeking shelter in a Shinto temple. For those of you unaware the series is about a zombie apocalypse with a twist. As soon as a man develops any sexual desire he becomes a zombie and instead of brains or human flesh they seek erm......sexual satisfaction. Needless to say that means 99% of the worlds men are now undead, women are in hiding and the remaining men are a combination of A-sexuals and what would be known in modern day society as incels. Finally, we once again get some great practical effects with some questionable make-up effects on the infected. I really liked the practical effects but the visuals were hit and miss. Some of the visuals worked but there is several instances where the visual effects just didn’t look right at all. It was as if they ran out of time and just tossed it in. Overall, Lust of the Dead 2 is just a continuation of the first film with nothing new offered. The movie is a chore to finish and some viewers may not be able to finish this one. Skip it.

This does present a slight tone problem, especially when talk of a prophecy involving a sun goddess and immaculate conception comes up and throws this whole thing completely off the rails. But it’s hard not to have a tone problem with the horrifying act of rape contrasted with a villain that comes waddling at you with his pants around his ankles. Starring – Asami (Gun Woman, Dead Sushi), Yui Aikawa (Missing 55, Lust of the Dead), and Maki Aoyama (The Outsider, Scissorpenis)

Again this series is far from politically correct but again remember Japan has always had a very casual view of sexual violence in movies compared to the west. Don't expect a Hollywood remake anytime soon. Naoyuki Tomomatsu ( 友松 直之, Tomomatsu Naoyuki ) (born 1967) is a Japanese film director and screenwriter who has worked in the pink film and horror genres. You'd think these movies would be dumb and crass when in fact they're oddly smart..........and crass. You see the mythology and social commentary behind them is remarkable, it's deep, it's insightful and manages to be both misogynistic and misandric at the same time. The women are all relatable and interesting in unique ways, and the way they band together to protect each other is, for the most part, endearing and sincere. A personal favorite moment for me was the army distributing weapons to local girls by way of a community cookout/shooting range. Women share food, take selfies, and cheer each other on as they practice their aim on rape zombies sporting bullseye speedos. It’s a beautiful moment of sisterhood and coming together for a common goal, and I don’t have one bad thing to say about it. Starring – Rina Aikawa (CSI: Crime Scene Talks), Yui Aikawa (Missing 55, Lust of the Dead 2), and Asami (The Machine Girl, Helldriver)
