About this deal

Whilst testing this hot tub, we noticed that on average, it took one hour to heat 2°C. On the flip side, once the heating is off, it will drop around 1°C every hour. It will stabilise at a temperature based on the outside temperature. This temperature that it stabilises at will be a lot colder in the winter than in the summer. At the touch of a button, you will be surround by thousands of tiny therapeutic bubbles thanks to the powerful 120 AirJet™ massage system.

The lay z spa zurich has an integrated EnergySense™ outer and top cover that helps speed up heating and reduces heat loss, making it 40% more energy efficient when compared to similar inflatable hot tubs. Remove the filter housing and replace the stopper plugs provided. Now take the filter out (if it is still in good condition, then clean and store safely). Step 3. Disconnect the Pump Note: There isn't much noticeable difference between 40°C and 38°C so you could also consider dropping the temperature you normally set your hot tub to. Instead, we make sure to switch on our hot tub a day before we hope to use it and switch it on to heat and filter. Usually, over the summer, it has sat at a constant temperature of around 19˚C to 22˚C, so it only takes a minimal amount of time to get to a hot temperature.

High Volume

If you’ve kept your Lay-Z-Spa clean throughout the season, you should easily be able to wipe away any residue using warm water and a soft cloth or sponge. (If there are stubborn dirt marks, squirt a little hand soap on the spot. A very mild dishwashing liquid might also work). Step 6. Completely Dry the Hot Tub

Top tip: Pumps with Wifi can be scheduled using the Lay-Z-Spa App. This gives you the freedom of being able to set your temperature even if you're not home. Again, this means you don't have to leave your heater on all the time. 8. Use Your Lay-Z-Spa During Warmer Weather Heat rises and one of the biggest causes of heat loss in hot tubs is straight from the water's surface where it meets the outside air. Your Lay-Z-Spa doesn't come with chemicals, but it has a ChemConnect dispenser for sanitiser tablets, to remove the need for floating dispensers. You can find chlorine tablets and bromine tablets easily. To get all the chemicals you need to use your tub, go for a chemical starter kit.

Bear in mind that in winter the temperature of the hot tub will be a lot lower. We tested ours in the summer so can't comment on this (yet). It will naturally take a lot longer to get warm in the winter, though lower temperatures will obviously feel hotter, so you might not have to heat it all the way to 40˚C, but instead 36˚C or 37˚C. Do you have more questions about how to winterise an inflatable spa or how to store it properly during the colder winter months? Below I will answer the questions that I get asked the most to help you further. Can I leave my lazy spa out in winter? Place your hot tub somewhere sunny if you don't mind using it with the sun shining on your head because this will keep it at its hottest temperature, naturally. Also, be sure to consider its positioning when it comes to emptying. Should you have any grass, try and angle the hot tub so that the pump and the plug are close by your grass so that you can empty your tub straight on there, to make life a little easier. Our guide on how to drain a hot tub has useful tips to help with this too. If you're thinking about energy costs, Lay-Z-Spa has been proven to have the most energy-efficient inflatable hot tubs. An independent study of comparable products by comparable brands found that Lay-Z-Spa hot tubs heat faster, use less energy to maintain a certain temperature, and are better at keeping the heat in. 1. Get A Lay-Z-Spa Thermal Hot Tub Cover

At the touch of a button, the Zurich AirJet™ will have you surrounded by thousands of tiny therapeutic bubbles. There are 120 powerful AirJets™ around the outer circumference of the base. EnergySense™ Insulated Cover There are many easy ways you can reduce your hot tub running costs. From something as simple as choosing the right place to position your hot tub, to keeping on top of chemicals to cleaning your hot tub’s filters regularly, to getting a thermal cover, we’ve put together 10 simple ways to manage and improve your hot tub running costs. Inflatable hot tubs should be stored folded as per the manual instructions, not on its side. By storing it on its side you risk permanent damage to the structure. ConclusionThe main issue with using a hot tub during the winter months is that they are not designed to be used or stored in less than 4 degrees centigrade (40f). Here in the UK, temperatures drop far below that during winter and spring, making it unlikely that you are able to enjoy your hot tub. We won't lie: setting up the Lay-Z-Spa Zurich was a slight nightmare. We were missing a part, as it turns out, which was pretty key to the entire process. A washer. When considering where you will place the Lay-Z-Spa Zurich in your garden, you'll need to think about a few factors. Our hot tub arrived with a mat that you put down underneath it, to protect your floor and to help ensure you won't slip when getting out all wet. The mat is slightly larger than the hot tub itself, but you can use it to visualise where it will go if you buy it too. It fits together like a jigsaw. It's worth us noting that this mat will help keep heat in the hot tub too. If you can't invest in one, then try and get something similar for your hot tub surround. We strongly recommend making sure the protective top cover and the insulating inflatable lid are firmly fastened in place when you are not using your hot tub and when heating up the water. The lid creates a thermal barrier that helps prevent hot tub heat loss.
