Ulugh Beg (1394–1449) of the Timurid Empire was killed by his son Abdal-Latif Mirza, who also killed his own brother 'Abd al-'Aziz a few days later. He as such became the ruler of the empire, only to be killed by his cousin Abdallah Mirza six months later. The Maykr history and lore about the Father were far from the truth as the Maykrs concealed the true identity of their creator and their origins. In reality, the Father was the Dark Lord of Hell who was originally known as Davoth. He was the first being in known existence who ruled the first world Jekkad and was responsible for the creation of all realms. Davoth created the Maykrs to use their abilities and knowledge to find the means of finding true immortality for his people. The Maykrs did manage to discover the secret of immortality, but deemed the knowledge too dangerous to share with Davoth, whom they concluded that their creator was an eventual threat to all life should he gain this knowledge. The Maykrs acted against their creator by sealing Jekkad along with Davoth from the other realms. The Maykrs' betrayal deeply angered Davoth, thus he was consumed by his hatred that transformed him into the Dark Lord and turning Jekkad into Hell. [7] Oedipus was fated to kill his father, a king, and marry his mother. His parents attempted to prevent this by leaving him on the side of a mountain as an infant. He was found and raised by a shepherd. Once grown, Oedipus meets his father while his father is traveling, but not knowing who he is, ends up killing him. He then unknowingly marries his mother to become king, ultimately fulfilling the prophecy. Each man must find the manner that suits him to kill off the father who lives in his muscles, brain, soul, and dreams. Each man must wrestle with the fear that comes with the process and the ongoing destruction. Die beiden Charaktere sind sehr gut ausgearbeitet und sie nehmen auch viel Raum in der Geschichte ein, was aber gar nicht störend ist - im Gegenteil! Durch das, was Dante Torre als Kind und Jugendlicher selbst erlebt hat, kann er einen großen Teil dazu beitragen, den aktuellen Entführungsfall aufzuklären. Dabei erfährt der Leser auch immer wieder einen Teil von Dantes Vergangenheit, die ihn verständlicherweise sehr geprägt hat, deren Auswirkungen noch heute sehr präsent sind.
