About this deal

Even Evil Has Standards: Mommy loves kids and is confirmed to have never hurt a child or acted out in front of them. She entirely believes the player character deserves to be sadistically toyed with and killed for being a part of Playtime Co. and the suffering of the orphans (whom she saw as her surrogate children). Creepy Long Fingers: When she becomes aggressive, her fingers become thinner and longer, which goes with her spider aesthetic.

Tragic Monster: The toys were subjected to experimentation and brainwashing, not to mention that they were originally people Playtime Co. had converted into toys. Yes, they're dangerous and bloodthirsty in the present, but after what they were put throughit's hard not to understand where their aggression is coming from. For starters, Playtime Co. would regularly mistreat employees by forcing them to work in dangerous work environments for long periods of time. Playtime Co. wasn't above killing their employees either to keep the company's secrets hidden from the outside world. And I Must Scream: She may be suffering from this, if the "LET ME GO LET ME GO LET ME GO" that briefly flashes across the screen in the Maintenance video is any indication. In chapter 2 she also reveals that she was awake and sentient the whole time she was trapped in the case but was unable to free herself.

Huggy Wuggy was initially introduced in Chapter 1 as a statue in the Main Lobby of the factory. However, once the player restores power to the entire facility, Huggy Wuggy mysteriously disappears. Throughout the chapter, Huggy Wuggy makes occasional, brief appearances until he finally reveals himself and starts chasing the player during the intense Ventilation Chase sequence. Towards the end of the chapter, he is witnessed plummeting deep into the depths of the Playtime Co. Factory. While walking, Huggy has a stiff, yet rather lithe and oddly organic-looking gait. He is capable of breaking into incredible bursts of speed, using his long arms and legs to propel himself forward. While crawling through the vents after the player, Huggy is able to bend and contort his body to fit into tight spaces. Before the player drops the crate onto Huggy on the catwalk, he can be seen sprinting towards the player on all fours, much like an ape. Due to his sheer height of a whopping 18 feet tall, he possesses a size advantage against average humans. During the vent chase, Huggy is able to cut off and keep up with the player by navigating through the ventilation system. Heroic Sacrifice: It's possible for players to lure the monsters away from the train to allow fellow teammates to escape, at the risk of their own lives. Ironic Nursery Tune: An instrumental version of The Itsy-Bitsy Spider can be heard by the player before the final game of hide and seek with Mommy Long Legs. This is also the theme of her commercial song.

New Games

Friendly Neighborhood Spider: Subverted. Mommy's toy design is based on this idea, and she acted this way around children. Around adults (like the player) however, she's as far from friendly as you can get. Love Dog– a plush, purple sausage dog with a simple shape and a pink, heart-shaped nose. There’s no information on why Playtime Co. rejected this one Palette Swap: In Project: Playtime, different colored skins are available for Huggy, Mommy and Boxy Boo. There is a secret voiceline, in which she says "Hey, Huggy Wuggy is here so let's climbin in the train whoo! whoo!" Which appears in the end of the game.

Even Evil Has Loved Ones: He might be a bloodthirsty killing machine, but he has a "better half" called Kissy Missy (who's revealed to be far more benevolentthan Huggy). Surprise Hare– a teal, egg-shaped object with big ears and a cute face, scrapped likely because it wasn’t all that appealing and didn’t live up to its name. We guess there was no surprise inside? Well, with the type of surprises you find in this factory, that might be for the better Unwitting Instigator of Doom: Possibly so, and likely subverted, as his research and experiments into the resurrection power of the Poppy flowers are implied to be the starting point of the Bigger Bodies Initiative and their own goals of turning people into living toys. His motive for the research, however, is unclear; all we know is that determined to figure it all out and wants to try it with something bigger, which may mean he has nefarious means to it. Ambiguously Evil: He might've had good intentions and, perhaps, didn't mean any harm to the kids or employees, but we still have to contend with a factory of killer toys, so.....

Other Creations

A theory by fans suggests that Huggy Wuggy was Rich, who gets subjected to an experiment conducted by Playtime CO that went wrong for allegedly complaining and speaking out against the company. For reasons unknown, Kissy Missy has what appears to be a tear in her left eye while pulling the lever in the entrance mines. Implied Death Threat: Right before starting the "Statues" game, she tells the player that they deserve to die alone since they used to work at the factory. Sure enough, it's revealed that the Statues game is unwinnable, meaning she intended for the player to die then and there. Informed Attribute: On a document, it stated that Mommy Long Legs was caring and protective of the other toys/experiments, yet she has no problem killing them if they fail her. Un-Robotic Reveal: He seems to be a robot... up until you see distinctly organic Nested Mouths within and see him leave blood when he hits a pipe during his Disney Villain Death.
