About this deal

I own two used Lenovo ThinkCentre low profile PCs (i5-4570). They came with onboard graphic cards. One is used in the living rooms TV lowboard (10cm height for PC, just perfectly fits) and one is used as working PC in the workroom. I started with MSI GeForce GT 730 LP to have a little bit advanced 3D graphic capabilities for games. This card was waste of money in terms of performance, albeit it was very cheap. Someone in an other blog mentioned that he had no problems running a GTX 660 GPU on the same Motherboard. I ended up now with ASUS GeForce GTX 1650 OC Low Profile in the living room for gaming and multimedia and MSI GeForce GT 1030 2GB LP OC in my working room for work and (low/medium settings) gaming. Dell OptiPlex 3010/7010/9010 MT and OptiPlex 3020/7020/9020 MT and use a standard size ATX power supply. Because of this, they are easier to upgrade with better GPUs. For this to work you will need a 24-Pin to 8-Pin adapter cable to power the motherboard.

Less Power Consuming – Because of their small size and fewer components, low-profile graphics cards consume less power than regular-sized graphics cards. Almost all the low-profile graphics cards do not need an external power connector from the PSU, and they work only on the power supplied by the PCI Express x16 slot. Also, you do not need a high-wattage power supply for them, as a budget PSU of 400W is enough for them, given that it is an average PC build.

After this I had MSI GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GT LP and a Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1050 Ti OC LP 4G which performed perfectly for 1 year. Because of the above-mentioned benefits, low-profile graphics cards are mostly used in slim SFF cases and for building an HTPC. They are also used in budget PCs for light gaming, and for running multiple monitors for work.

Low Profile Graphics Cards are small form factor graphics cards that are not essentially meant for gaming, but some people buy them for their special needs or requirements. I have also used a couple of low-profile graphics cards in the past, and they have served my purpose pretty well. Low-profile graphic cards are comparatively smaller in size than regular-sized graphics cards and are used mostly in slim cases or low-profile computer cases. The card supports DirectX 12, OpenGL, and the latest version of Windows i.e. Windows 10. This is a great budget low profile graphics card and it is available for or under 100 dollars price mark. If this is not available then you can get Gigabyte GeForce GT 730 2GB GDDR5 that has almost the same specifications and performance. Theoretical Performance

Last but not least is the MSI RX 550 4GT LP OC. This low profile graphics card comes with a range of great features from MSI that will make it a worthy investment for a smaller PC case setup.
