About this deal

UK VHS first issue in cut form: The censored 1982 edition with a BBFC X rating, which will be detailed in a separate report. These twelve did Jesus send forth, having given command to them, saying, 'To the way of the nations go not away, and into a city of the Samaritans go not in, Strong's 846: He, she, it, they, them, same. From the particle au; the reflexive pronoun self, used of the third person, and of the other persons. Probably one of the better known Video Nasties, Don’t Go In The House is the first (alphabetically) in a line of “Don’t” warnings on the list. The film was first released in UK cinemas in 1980 after heavy cuts from the BBFC, and this version was released by Arcade Video in 1982. Later Arcade Video released the uncut version for home video, and this was added to the Video Nasties list in July 1983. The film was soon removed from the list, and re-released on the promise that only the BBFC cut version be sold. The film was once again re-released in 1987 with 3:05 seconds of cuts, and eventually released completely uncut by Arrow this year for the DVD & Blu-ray release.

Don’t Go In The House is a horror film that was banned in the UK for decades, that received a harsh reputation because of this, and could be thought of as nothing more than gross, slasher gore; but is actually a lot more interesting than that. And this new release offers horror fans the ultimate way to experience this piece of cinematic history. High Definition (1080p) Blu-ray™ presentation of two different versions of the film: the 83-minute uncut Theatrical Version, and the 89-minute Television Version with additional scenes and alternate footage

There’s a lot of ominous high-pitched atmosphere music, but for a horror film, the disco stuff is more memorable. Donny goes to a discotheque later on, in a scene that would make you feel sorry for him if he wasn’t a murderer. The discotheque is not a Saturday Night Fever style venue, with flashing lights on the dancefloor. It’s a fairly drab, miserable place, with people in dark clothes barely moving to the music. From here events spiral into a somewhat predictable conclusion, which has a few creepy moments, but largely unfolds as expected. This could be seen as angling for a sequel, but really it seems more to be a depressing confirmation that the cause of Donny’s problems is a real-life issue that isn’t going away. Jesus sent out the twelve apostles with these instructions: “Don’t go to the Gentiles or the Samaritans, Made in 1979 with some shaky camera moves, this creepy curio looks pretty good on Blu-ray, even if the script is far less polished. These twelve Jesus sent out after instructing them: “Do not go in the way of the Gentiles, and do not enter any city of the Samaritans;

Jesus sent out the twelve apostles with these instructions: Stay away from the Gentiles and don't go to any Samaritan town.
