They are all Level 4 monsters who each possess both an Attribute and a Pendulum Effect that mimics their respective Dragon's effect at the cost of destroying themselves, and are always treated as one of those Dragon's archetype. They can also Summon their corresponding Dragon by using themselves and another appropriate monster as Material. In tandem with " Supreme King Dragon Darkwurm", they can also Summon the " Supreme King Dragon" counterparts. Dark Sage" could be Special Summoned by Tributing " Dark Magician" if either player succeeded in the effect of " Time Wizard". Its effect also allowed its controller to activate Spell Cards during the opponent's turn.

If the effect of " Time Wizard" is successful, all monsters on the field are aged. Monsters typically become visibly wrinkled, decayed, and rusted. This results in them becoming much weaker or destroyed.

However it also gains effects. If the player does not have the actual card for the aged counterpart, they can Summon the monster through Fusion Summon. If they have the actual card, they can Summon it normally, without performing a Fusion Summon.
