I love floral perfumes, and am making it my mission to discover my perfect rose scent. I want to smell like a big, dewy yellow rose opening on a warm day. Roses de Chloe is so far my favorite in this hunt, although not the perfect rose. Freedom, lightness and femininity: these are the principles on which Chloé was founded in Paris more than 60 years ago. Today Chloé’s vision of romantic, effortless chic lives in ready-to-wear, accessories, and fragrances. The new muse and face of the perfume is British actress Lucy Boynton who embodies the spontaneous, open character of Chloé woman with her natural charm. Chloé is launching the Eau de Toilette edition of their Chloé Signature perfume called Chloé Rose Tangerine. Chloé Rose Tangerine is due out in summer 2020 and promises a bolder and more energetic character in the reinterpretation of the modern classic from the house.

As for the other notes, I catch a tiny bit of magnolia but barely bacause they are blended in together. I'm not smelling them individually as I do a little citrus, rose, and in the dry down, musk, woodiness, and a little sweetness of amber. Chloé Rose Tangerie has been released this year as a women's fragrance. Created by Sidonie Lancaster and Michel Almairac, who was already co-responsible for the creation of the popular Chloé Eau de Parfum and who also co-developed my beloved Chloé Eau de Toilette. A natural non-candied rose in this captivated my attention. It’s not very complicated but somehow we’ll blended anyway. It lasts a notably long time on my skin, significantly longer than most floral perfumes. After 14 hours it’s still on me. Doesn’t have too many chapters of evolution but rather a consistent presence. The roses stay pleasant throughout the journey.

When I first tried this a couple of years ago, I didn't like it. I think I was too into Chloe and expecting a different type of scent with this all together. While Chloe has roses, and was tempered with other notes, this has full-on heady roses straight from the get go that I wasn't expecting. So, I put the sample aside. His gloomy mood but bounces off the cheerful mood scent - which I carry lighthearted but clearly into the house.

For those who wonder why there was no 10th door yesterday, the commentary on Miller Harris - Lumière Dorèe was already written, I just added the video. But now to today's 11th perfume advent calendar-door:On my skin, Rose Tangerine lasts a little more than 5 hours in total. The performance wasn’t too great and I wish I could squeeze a few more hours of wear out of it. Kind of a weak point.

A long time ago, I wrote a blog called "the aberrations of the nose". In it, I described what my nose actually smells from time to time at the scents given. Out came this list: In my humble opinion Chloe should not shy away from this fragrance whatsoever, as it pleases both the young and the old costumers of the house. The first because of it's modern spin with the added lemon and green notes at first - smelling youthful and crisp. And as for the second due to it's robust rosy body, an ingredient sure to make the elder swoon because of how refreshingly modern it made such an usual scent feel.

HOWEVER! I REALLY REALLY enjoy this Chloe. I was at the drugstore a year ago and sampled this out of curiosity as I was purchasing the other Chloe for my mother as a present. On the test strip this was very linear - rose and musk. I sprayed it on my wrist thinking nothing of it. It bloomed into something quite beautiful. The musky rose still very prominent but now with undercurrents of jammy fruits, cedar, warm woods, a touch of amber and magnolia. Surprisingly, all notes that I actually enjoy when done in a minimal style (spare blasts of magnolia as I've recently learned to love the scent of this flower). I find this fragrance pleasantly balanced and well mixed. It leaves a soft and romantic drydown which reminds me of the virgin suicides (movie) for some reason.

A fresh and feminine fragrance suited to a free spirit with an utterly innate sense of chic. The scent takes the classic rose and ingeniously translates it into a vibrant perfume, intimate and sensual. Chloé Eau de Parfum begins with a combination of floral powdery notes, hints of peony and lychee and springtime freesia. The airy, flirtatious head notes drift away to reveal the richer and more sensual side of the rose. The distinctive character of this unique rose is accompanied by magnolia and lily of the valley, as well as subtle intimations of warm amber and elegant cedarwood.
