About this deal

Valentina, a woman with a loyal heart and a fiery passion. Her first husband who was her best friend who loved her like a sister was gone. Dead. Now she's marrying the youngest Head of the Outfit who seemed to lost the wife he loved most. She had to watch her first marriage go downhill but she's determined to make her second marriage work this time. I hate lucaria, god their presence annoys me so much, they’re always acting like saviors and their moral superiority is just so annoying, i mean they’re even doctors in this one wow S.M. Soto—Deception and Chaos; bonus content is a never-before-seen chapter written from Creed’s POV. Each of the books in this series are stand-alones, so they can be read separately, but I honestly feel you should read the first book because the characters in the first book do make appearances in this one too. Dante sigue siendo un hombre controlado, sin emoción aparente pero con su familia es otra cosa podemos apreciar cómo ha evolucionado su relación con Val y con sus hijos es todo un amor, me daba mucha ternura cuando estaba con su hija Anna.

Maddox – Mad Dog – White hates everything the name Vitiello stands for, after he witnessed his father and his men getting butchered by the Capo of the Italian mob in their territory. Raised by his uncle, the president of the Tartarus MC, Maddox is destined to follow in his footsteps. Evie soon realizes that being Xavier’s assistant is a 24/7 job; the man seems unwilling to even set an alarm for himself. Do you know what I hate more than the doormat stereotype in a female lead? A woman who does not champion other women. I complain about insta-love in books sometimes, but this is one of those times where I won't not because it didn't bother me but the MC's relationship progressed at a dare I say completely realistic pace for people in their position and with their histories. Valentina's drive to break down Dante's walls is what probably made him finally open up in the end. I actually thought that this was a bit of wasted opportunity. I wanted to see more than this one scene.

Maybe love is a risk, but it’s a risk I’m willing to take and, as you said, it’s not a choice. I never thought I would, never thought I could love someone like that, but I fell in love with you. I fought it. It’s the first battle I didn’t mind losing." -Luca to Aria I hadn't enjoyed reading about his love and devotion to his late wife, Carla. It's a little annoying to discover that the H had truly been in love with his dead wife. What's more irritating is the fact that I couldn't even resent the woman because she'd been a kind and loving person who, in another author's world, might've been the heroine of this story. Even from Dante's POV and him saying I still do not feel like he loves her. And for how small Carla's part was his feelings toward her resonated more than anything towards Val. And I don't mean it just here but the moment I finished the book I still had a hard time believing his love towards Val. I was actually surprised that when he learned that Fabiano disappeared he did not try to look for him, especially knowing that Rocco was a poor excuse for a father who just recently got another son. Also, speaking about Rocco, I actually find it really hard to believe that no one thought it strange that he went missing for months before Dante gave him to Remo. I mean even like mention that he went into hiding or something. I would expect that the Consigliere being nowhere to be found and on top of that impossible to reach even through phone would cause quite a chaos. How does a woman married twice remain a virgin? (Well I’m not telling you that!) Tired of being vulnerable, rejected and forever settling for scraps. She’s adamant about melting her new husband’s cold heart. Yet what she discovers is that sex is easy, but love is a completely different matter.

Suddenly she’s supposed to be a mother to two small children when she hasn’t even held a baby in her life.Dante better tell Valentina that he loves her! I hope that we find out something suspicious about his previous wife that helps Dante get over her. It really bothers me that he is still hung up on her. This is why I hate widowers one books. I feel so guilty for supporting the heroine over the poor dead wife, so it makes me feel much better if the previous wife was terrible. this took me a while to read, not cause it was bad but I just needed to be in the right mood ig and I really enjoyed it! Since this series is technically over for the five main couples, I'll just say my overall thoughts: valentina's brother defecting because he wanted to marry an asian woman and of course that's frowned upon in the outfit. i mean dante, can you even change ANYTHING about your mobster family's medieval mindset???? is that too much to ask??

He was a tough and ruthless capo but a loving and protective husband and father. We get to read a side of Dante we knew very little about. One of my highlights of this fantastic story was seeing Val and Dante interact with their kids and watching them grow up and develop quite the interesting and completely different personalities as well as seeing some of my beloved secondary characters again like sweet Bibianna and finding out who her love interest is. There are also hints for some more potential couples in the future books as well which you will find very exciting! I was not really a fan of the first Dante&Val book, but I was ready to be convinced. Unfortunately, that was not the case.Every moment of the day I think of the things I want to do to you, catch myself remembering your taste, your smell. Sometimes I think I'll go insane if I don't bury myself in you." Except that Gianna and Mateo are not teenagers, they are two adults (31 and 38 I think), they have been married for 13 years, who decided not to have children (although they never did anything definitive not to have them), which is okay, not all women have to be mothers, nor do all couples have children, so I don't understand why the author decided that it was a good idea for them to have a child when clearly they DON’T wanted a baby, especially Gianna who even at the end of the story says "If I cuold live my life again i'd still decide not to be a mom, it's not my mission in life and it won't ever be", so why betray the essence of your characters like that, I just do not get it. Aren’t you loyal to me?” he murmured. “Don’t you think you owe me the truth? Don’t you think it’s your duty? Not only because I’m the Boss of the Outfit, but because I’m your husband.” This one follows their first book, and I'm not sure what to say here, so, I'll put my comment which I have for Dante&Val relationship as a whole here. Callie Hart—Deviant; bonus content is a brand-new short story featuring Zeth and some of the original Blood and Roses crew.
