About this deal

There are some exposed colourful Technic elements behind, but I don’t mind too much as covering them up would’ve significantly reduced the already limited space in this section. Todo 360, Cad Bane’s droid, also makes an appearance. He’s a single-mold figure so has no articulation, but does have some nice printed details. And … that’s all the minifigs. If you’re caught up on The Clone Wars enough to be watching The Bad Batch as it airs, a key character is clearly missing from the minifig assortment: Omega. Five minifigs make sense for the price point, and of course, we would want all members of the original Clone Force 99, but the set feels incomplete without this new character. Conclusions & recommendation The next minifigure is Fennec Shand, who is also not new; however, this is the first set which includes Fennec with both her hair and helmet.

Hunter also has his unique gunmetal grey helmet, which looks good. I always like it when LEGO includes both hairpieces and helmets for relevant minifigures. In previous years, some LEGO fans would have considered this to be an ‘illegal’ technique, but it looks great and it’s nice that LEGO is using it in sets nowadays. Considering the set already has a low piece count, I would’ve appreciated some more pieces being used for texturing on the ship. The first bag includes the parts for two speeder bikes. These are very standard LEGO Star Wars speeders, and we’ll return to them later in the review.

The BARC speeder has essentially been recoloured from the 501st squadron set, and as such feels a little uninspired. Cad Bane comes with his two blaster pistols, and is just a great figure all around. His exclusivity to this set will undoubtedly be a huge draw. Space is available for one minifigure and these handlebars are also adjustable, matching the BARC Speeder. The thrust pods match the original vehicle and the round exhaust looks good too, situated beneath the driver. This model also includes a vacant clip behind the seat, where minifigures can attach their weapons while riding aboard the speeder. Many fans will probably buy this set for Cad Bane, but I still think the minifigure selection could have been improved. While Hunter and Fennec are both very relevant to the scene, the fact that they’re both reused figures is kind of disappointing for a set at this price point. These decorations are actually posters that the Bad Batch have hung on the walls of their ship. The designs are taken directly from the show. I love that the Bad Batch has decided to decorate their ship and make the space their own. It’s a fun detail that I think sets them apart from standard clones."

It’s a 1000 piece set with 5 minifigures and not much interior space, and does not offer much more in terms of play value or piece count than cheaper sets like 75337 AT-TE Walker and even 75336 Inquisitor Transport Scythe. Finally Echo. Part of the 501st during the Clone Wars, Echo was missing, presumed dead. However, he had been captured and utilised by the Techno Union to provide strategic information to the Seperatists during the Anaxes Campaign. After being rescued by Captain Rex, Anakin Skywalker and the Bad Batch, he opted to join the renegade Clone Unit, continuing to be part of their ongoing adventures. Echo’s pale head is printed with silver connections, and a cybernetic implant. In the Bad Batch, Echo has a data probe in place of his right hand, and this is represented by printed arms and a grey hand. The Havoc Marauder is the official name of the shuttle, but I cannot recall hear it referred to more than once or twice over the multiple episodes that it has appeared in. I initially approached this part of the build with quite a bit of trepidation: I have a few difficulties perceiving firm differences between blues and greys, especially when working without a reference colour. However, the instructions were easy to follow, and clear enough for me to be able to use despite Unfortunately, the downside of this play feature is the huge amounts of exposed Technic mechanism on the final model – including odd colors such as red and blue.
