the few posts i've seen have romanticized this book for being a "fun good girl x bad boy romance” with the added bonus of a boarding school setting and overall rich kid energy. honestly, this book just wasn’t for me. it all felt wrong and wired to me, and it was actually impossible for me to find any cute moments, because i hated the mc’s, therefore it was very hard to find anything involving them cute. Son of the family who own the school, Crew's life seems easy - but with an overbearing father and high expectations, it's anything but.wren thought she would wait until marriage, but she starts to explore her own body and watches porn, all because crew intrigues her. i liked the slowness of this book, it allowed us to see how they progressed from kissing to touching to them falling deeply for each other. like i said there is no major plot for the characters, the major "conflict" point is wren's overprotective dad, who did not approve of their relationship. She arrived at Lancaster Prep boarding school the first day of our freshman year, and no one knew who she was. Fresh and untested, open and accepting with that damn smile that seems permanently etched across her face. Every girl in our class immediately fell under her spell. Followed her everywhere she went. Desperately wanted to be her friend, even fought for the coveted spot of best friend. They copied her effortless style, and she set the school abuzz every time she wore her hair a different way or put on a new pair of earrings, for Christ’s sake. it's a coming-of-age story, especially for our girl wren, who throughout this book goes on a journey of liberating herself sexually and breaking out of the box she has put herself in her whole life, and the boy, crew, who helps her accept herself.
