About this deal

Camus died at the age of 46 years in a car accident near Sens in le Grand Fossard in the small town of Villeblevin. But Eliane was leaving now. A long afternoon of silence and reflection lay ahead of Mersault in his room. At dinner, no-one spoke. But by mutual consent they went out on to the terrace. A Happy Death was written in the two years before The Stranger (1936-37) and we do have Mersault as the main character in each case. However, Happy Death has Patrice Mersault,Marthe was a secretary. She did not love Mersault, but she was attracted to him insofar as he intrigued her and flattered her. Since the day when Emmanuel, whom Mersault had introduced to her, had told her: ‘Mersault’s a good fellow, you know. He’s got guts. But he doesn’t talk — so people don’t always realize what he’s like,’ she regarded him with curiosity. And since his lovemaking satisfied her, she asked nothing more, adapting herself as best she could to a silent lover who made no demands and took her when she wanted to come. She was only a little uneasy about this man whose weak points she could not discover.

It was first announced in June 2007, to be produced by Michael Bay and Rogue Pictures, and directed by Antti Jokinen. [5] Christopher Landon was hired to rewrite Lobdell's original screenplay. Landon said, "The movie was in pre-production or soft production at the time, and I came on and I loved the concept of the movie. I loved the idea of a girl, trapped in a time loop who has to solve her own murder." Landon decided to send the script to Jason Blum of Blumhouse Productions, with whom he had worked in the Paranormal Activity sequels, and he approved it, leading to a green-light by Universal Pictures. [6] Blumhouse announced the project on October 11, 2016, with Landon directing and Jessica Rothe cast in the lead role of the film. [7] On November 8, 2016, it was announced that Ruby Modine, Charles Aitken and Rachel Matthews had joined the cast, alongside Rothe and Israel Broussard. [8] The film got eventually retitled Happy Death Day in June 2017. [9]
