About this deal

A Crown for Christmas-how did Allie adjust or change the crown once she married? And who can not forget Christmas Under Wraps. It begged for more story to see if Lauren made the "discovery" of the real Garland, Alaska. Ho-Ho-Ho. Betty Neels was born on September 15, 1910 in Devon to a family with firm roots in the civil service. She said she had a blissfully happy childhood and teenage years.(This stood her in good stead later for the tribulations to come with the Second World War). She was sent away to boarding school, and then went on to train as a nurse, gaining her SRN and SCM, that is, State Registered Nurse and State Certificate of Midwifery.

A Gift to Remember is absolutely delightful, and I enjoy watching it every year. Unfortunately, the sequel was a big disappointment. It's not entirely unexpected, because how can you make the story interesting with no drama or amnesia? This one takes place one year after the original, and the Darcy and Aiden (Ali Liebert and Peter Porte) are spending their first Christmas together as a couple. You'll still see Mrs. Henley, Luigi, Nurse Nancy, and Bailey. Mrs. Henley has a large role, as she's taking care of her nephew while his parents are deployed over the holiday. How they go about it, while trying to keep their first Xmas presents secret from each other, provides most of the entertainment for this sequel.* There's also another cameo by author Melissa Hill, as the rec center's owner's administrative assistant. And the finger-crossing I did, for the ending I wished to see...worked. Strengthening my hope that this will become another classic Xmas trilogy for Hallmark (a la the "Father Christmas" stories with Erin Krakow).

Her friend Dorothy told her Cherish is a safe haven. But she never expected Dorothy's brother, Deputy Nicholas Thompson, would relight the one thing she thought she'd lost forever: a spark of hope.

Horrible, horrible movie. The best part was the end, the very end. You know, the Credits. Hard Pass on anymore movies out of this series. When the war finally ended, she and her husband were repatriated to Holland. As his family had believed he had died when his ship went down, this was a very emotional homecoming. The small family lived in Holland for 13 years, and Betty resumed her nursing career there. When they decided to return to England, Betty continued her nursing and when she eventually retired she had reached the position of night superintendent. Yet this okay holiday feature makes it so memorable for another dose of mediocre? Hallmark, please rethink this one.The first movie was great. This is not even close to that. Of all the Hallmark movies I've seen, probably 100's, this is the worst one, by far! Bad writing and terrible execution from Ali Liebert. All the other characters were fine, even the unbelievable little boy. However, Ali Liebert...was absolutely horrible. Instead, the couple have been living in the same apartment building for the past year (apparently, this sequel is set in December 2018). And Darcy's second Xmas Eve as the manager of Chaucer's Bookstore is threatened with being tarnished by the Scrooge-like selling of a beloved recreation center. On top of which, they have to help Mrs. Henley entertain her visiting nephew who (initially, anyway) puts the "brat" in military brat, due to being separated from his deployed parents. When Emmanuelle Sumter steps off the train in Cherish, South Carolina - a town simply glowing with the promise of Christmas - she finds herself praying God will help her find the broken pieces of her life. Shattered, like her beloved harp, her dreams, and her trust in men.
