About this deal

Surface Book 2, 3 & 4:These models simply require a Tri-Screen Adapterto provide video to one of the screens. The rest of the connections work with the model's native ports. For example, if your laptop has a USB‑C with DisplayPort output (as shown below), then you will only need to use a single cable going from this port in your laptop to the USB Type-C (video & power) input on the Tri-Screen to provide both power and video. However, I can see how it would be great if you travel on land as opposed to traveling by plane. If you have an RV or campervan, or you move from office to office, you really can take it with you and set it up anywhere. Just remember you’ll want a constant power source because it can drain your laptop battery. At minimum, look for a portable monitor with a 1080p screen. If you can afford it, go with a 2K or 4K monitor to see more detail and vibrant colors. The Tri-Screen is compatible with all versions of Microsoft Surface Book. However, adjustments will be needed:

Select ‘ Displays’ - this screen may look different depending on which Operating System version you’re using We believe a portable monitor is a must-have accessory if you’re a remote worker who needs to be highly productive from airports, hotels, at home, or even from a coffee shop. However, not everyone needs a 4K portable monitor. The most reasonably priced models are typically 15.6-inch 1080p monitors. Using the provided USB-C to USB-C cable, plug one end into the USB-C port on your laptop and plug the other end into the Tri-Screen's USB-C port.

PC:

So I love using the Xebec at home, but I don’t take it with me during air travel because I find it too bulky and it needs a wide, flat surface. Select Start> Settings> System> Display- your screen may look different than the images in the following steps depending on which Operating System you’re using So I find myself leaving the Xebec at home, simply because my bags are already too full and I would rather save that 2 pounds for more essential items like clothes, camera gear, and toiletries. Screen size: 15.6-inches | Screen type: OLED | Resolution: 1,920 x 1080 pixels | Ports: USB Type-C, Mini HDMI | Weight: 1.4 pounds | Dimensions: 14.1 x 8.9 x 0.2 inches | Speakers: None Screen size: 15.4-inch | Screen type: LED | Resolution: 1,920 x 1,080 pixels | Ports: 2 USB Type-C, Mini-HDMI, Mini-DisplayPort | Weight: 1.7 pounds | Dimensions: 14.5 x 8.9 x 0.3 inches | Speakers: Dual stereo

I’ve given the Xebec Tri Screen 2 a 7/10 for ease of use because I found it pretty confusing to set up, but it’s super easy once you get it going. Fortunately, the device comes with all the necessary cables and adapters. I especially appreciated the pass-through charging dongle. If your laptop charges via a USB-C port, this adapter will allow you to charge your laptop and plug the display in simultaneously. Portability

USB-C to USB-A Adapter (x2):

For power, get the included USB-A to USB-C cable, plug one end into the USB-A port on your laptop and plug the other end into the "power only" USB-C port of the Tri-Screen. This is the USB-C port furthest from the buttons and has a battery symbol. All in all, while the Tri-Screen is compatiblewith the Surface Pro, we find it is best enjoyed on a traditional style laptop vs. tablets. The monitor comes with a cover that doubles as a four-position stand. This allows you to position the monitor in landscape or portrait mode (optional desktop tripod mount sold separately). Thanks to its ultra-thin design and light weight, this monitor is easy to transport. If you plan to use the monitor in a brightly lit space, the box it comes in can works as a monitor hood to protect the display from glare. Overall, I was very impressed with the Xebec Tri-Screen. I found that I actually liked using it better with only one screen out at a time, but that was more due to my dearth of useful USB-C ports. The concept is solid, and the whole thing worked far better than I expected. I tested this on a 13″ Macbook, but the frame is adjustable, and Xebec says it is compatible with every operating system and most computers.

Australian start-up Espresso Displays’ eponymous V2 model comes in 13- and 15.6-inch versions with a touchscreen, along with a 13-inch version without touch. Espresso’s prices are a bit more than some competitors, but all models share the same stylish design aesthetic, plus a bevy of features other portable monitors don’t have. Take the 15.6-inch touchscreen portable monitor, for example. It has a brushed aluminum and glass chassis and a super-slim (0.2-inch) design, with a 16:10 aspect ratio display and two USB Type-C ports. The maximum screen brightness is 300 nits.

90 Degree USB-C Elbow (x1):

The combination of cables that you will use depends on the types of ports your laptop has. Take a look at your laptop and note which ports you have and how many.

The Tri-Screen actually has a pass-through charging feature that allows you to utilize your laptop's USB-C port and still charge your laptop!. For our newest Tri-Screen (V2), either USB-C port may be used, simply connect to the screen that's connecte My audio isn't working when I connect the Tri-Screen 2. How do I fix it?

FEATURED IN

I would say for the average person, the abundance of cables is a bit confusing and it seems easier to just include 2 Tri Screen Adaptors with the Xebec.
