About this deal

Exploiting that single moment of inattention, Vainqueur charged towards Wotan, opening his wings to fly at him. The fairy heard Vainqueur coming...

The manling couldn’t believe the great honor bestowed upon him and thought himself undeserving of it. “I am wholly unsuited for this role, Your Majesty.” I tamed him,” Vainqueur made a face. Even if that talking cat was probably the Marquise, she didn’t smell like a princess. She didn’t even smell like a virgin! Not worth adding to his hoard. Still, since she was noble blood, Vainqueur deigned answer directly. “I am Vainqueur Knightsbane, King of the Albain Mountains, great calamity of this age! You sent ruffians after my silver rapier treasure, interrupting my long nap. I thereby demand half your cattle as restitution for the trouble caused, alongside the one thousand gold coins you offered for my possession.” No wonder that Marquise lowered herself to hire thieves. Vainqueur too would be bitter at living in a palace with only one tower. The ray eventually shattered the golem in half and kept going, clearing the skies and going up into the dark depths of space. At long last, Vainqueur closed his mouth, and tossed the broken remains of the golem at his feet.Benevolent Boss: Zigzagged. Vainqueur cows his minions by threatening to eat them if they fail to keep up with his demands. He's often pushy and forces them to work on incredibly difficult tasks and does very little in the actual "leading" except to marshal them to battle. Despite this, he considers his minions an extension of his hoard and will defend them with his life. He also rewards good service and genuinely believes the best of his most capable minions, particularly Victor, whom Vainqueur has the utmost faith in. In fact, Vainqueur comes to consider Victor the crown jewel of his hoard. So he demands Victor to become immortal so Vainqueur can keep him forever. When Victor is killed and inflicted with Necrophobia to prevent his resurrection, Vainqueur sacrifices his entire hoard of gold without hesitation to get Shesha to revive Victor. RPG Mechanics 'Verse: The story starts when Vainqueur realizes his world follows these rules, including gaining a class of his own. In a difference from the norm, Outremonde didn't use to be an RPG Mechanics 'Verse and only became that way after the god, Dice, altered reality. And Vainqueur did, navigating through clouds of smoke and beyond the island, just as the volcano exploded behind them. Meaningful Name: "Vainqueur" is French for "victor," fitting for a dragon who killed countless knights and believes he can triumph over anything. You’re awfully resilient for a mage,” Victor said. His boss and compatriots died easily enough, but that guy survived the blast with his defenses down and had enough strength to keep running.

Vainqueur Knightsbane is your average dragon: a giant, fire-breathing lizard who loves to take naps on his golden hoard, kidnap princesses for fun, and make the life of adventurers miserable. Vainqueur's only pleasure in life is to watch his treasure get bigger, one coin at a time. Celestial Bureaucracy: Between summoned demons acting as magical tech support and Angels acting like insurance salesmen . . . Tonight I sit in bed, writing this review, after finally finishing this book series. I've read a few dragon books and this one... This one is one of my favorites. The mix of fantasy, humor, and romance, along with jokes and a wonderful storyline, it's definitely a book I will be returning to someday.

Vainqueur Knightsbane

Every adventurer starts with an aluminum plate,” Victor explained, the wind in his face causing his lips to move in ways Vainqueur found distracting. “That’s the ranks. Aluminum, copper, iron, bronze, silver, gold, and starmetal. I’m an aluminum adventurer too, Your Majesty.” Book opens with a dragon waking up from a short nap of 50 years to find someone trying to steal something from his hoard. He is, naturally, annoyed. The human accidentally revealed a particular layer to the reality of that world that the d Indeed, what a good minion you are,” Vainqueur said, feasting on sheep covered with a strange sauce. “Minion Victor, count the coins. And do not dare steal them!” Maxime J. Durand may well have taken that game as the inspiration for this book. It is incredibly silly, incredibly funny - and it is a game. Finally, as he sensed the lava below, Vainqueur opened his mouth and unleashed a fireball right in that dirty fomor’s face. Releasing his hold as the blast hit, the dragon propelled Wotan towards the crater, carried by a giant fireball.
