This book made me remember those lessons again; it felt like I was taking a break from the harshness of life for a while. It’s not even the type of book I usually read, but I know I will be reading this to my kid in the future one day. We always want kids and young adults to grow up with kindness and hope in their hearts; bring positive change to the world. But we can’t leave it all to them. We, as an adult, also has a role to play in this. Be the right individual to impart the light of virtue to them. Be grateful, be hopeful, be kind. Idris says: “The fox is an outsider, somewhat untrusting of the world and takes his time to open up to the group and be vulnerable. I definitely connected with the fox on a level, and it was amazing to see the character’s journey throughout the story. I think there’s a part in all of us that feels like the fox. That’s also the beauty of Charlie’s work, we see ourselves in each of the characters and can relate to their journeys.” if i treat it like a book written in a foreign language, it's great - i can enjoy the pictures, and i can recognize the individual words even though the messages mean nothing to me.
