About this deal

If you have any further questions or queries regarding the test results, our expert and friendly team is available at [email protected] to answer any questions you may have. This test was developed from the ground up to measure about 100 of the most common allergens that your pet may be reacting to. We not only test for common foods and environmental factors, you will also learn which popular supplements and even every-day household products may be causing your pet to react. Get to the bottom of your dog’s well-being There are two different types of immunity in our patients – antibody immunity (measured by titre testing) and cell immunity (which is not measured by titre testing). The two types of immunity are believed to normally correlate but it is not clear how much. Next, think about your family’s day-to-day life. How often are you away during the day? Are there people with special needs in your home? What are their ages? Do you lead an active lifestyle or do you spend your free time relaxing in front of the TV? Are pet allergies a concern?

Note: Upon request and at its discretion, The Kennel Club may require a test to be retaken to confirm a clear result. Our Dog Plus Test designed as the most comprehensive test providing you with a wide range of results giving you the best possible start on Dog’s health journey. Diagnosing what’s wrong with a pet can be a challenge – they can’t tell us directly how they feel, or where it hurts. Getting to the bottom of what’s wrong with a pet can take a bit of detective work. Before your vet can give your pet the right treatment, they need to pinpoint exactly what’s wrong. This process is called ‘diagnosis’ and there are plenty of tools and resources to help your vet go about it.

Our pet test is one of the most comprehensive on the market and tests for most common pet food items, but also covers a variety of human foods that pets may unintentionally consume. Our priority testing service promises a 2-business day turnaround on test results, compared to our standard testing period of up to 5 business days. Sometimes there’s more than one way to treat your pet. Your vet will talk you through the risks and benefits of each option. Discover which pet was the cleverest, how much people spend on their animals, and how your pets responded to Pet TV.

This means that the presence of antibodies, or their absence, may not necessarily tell us if your pet will or will not get a disease.Unfortunately things are not that simple and whilst a titre test can show antibodies for certain illnesses it may not be useful in determining true immunity (the bodies ability to defend itself against that illness). Disclaimer: The Kennel Club is an information resource and publishes the results of DNA single gene health tests from the respective testing laboratory. Talk to you. No-one knows your pet better than their owner and you can give your vet lots of important information. They’ll ask about your pet’s history, behaviour and any changes in the way they’ve been acting. If you notice a change in your pet (e.g. they’re eating less or going to the toilet more often) make a note so you can tell your vet. We advocate discovering the cause of your pet’s sensitivities and learning which foods and products are best for your pet—and which to avoid. Our Cat Plus Test designed as the most comprehensive test providing you with a wide range of results giving you the best possible start on Cat’s health journey.

All test results may be used for research purposes. In using the information from the DNA single gene health test result, users accept all the conditions set out above. To complicate things still further titre tests are not 100% reliable and there are many different tests available on the market. It is possible to get false negative results (where the test says your pet has less antibodies than it actually does) and false positive results (where the test says your pet has more antibodies than it actually does). False positive results can lead you to believe that your dog has antibody protection against disease that it doesn’t have. For our feline friends the use of vaccinations and the length of their immunity is an area under much investigation and study currently. Not all illnesses can be 100% confirmed by tests. Some tests might be painful or dangerous, particularly for older pets. If your vet has narrowed it down to two or three likely illnesses, they may recommend trying one treatment at a time and seeing which helps your pet. Your vet is using years of training and experience to make this decision and will always keep the welfare of your pet as a priority. The Kennel Club excludes liability to the extent it is legally entitled to do so (including indirect, consequential or incidental damages) in respect of any decision made or action taken or not taken in reliance upon information provided by the DNA single gene health test results published. If you have any further questions related to your test result, please don't hesitate to reach out to [email protected] and the team will be more than happy to help.
