About this deal

Find the controller’s charger cable, usually a USB cable. This is the cable that your PS3 ships with. For the standard PS3, the cable has one large end, i.e., the USB plug, and a small end that plugs into the PS3 controller. These are the main methods you can use to charge your PS3 controller. Hopefully, you can use them without issues. Reference With your USB cable in hand, plug the smaller end into your PS3 controller, before plugging the other USB plug on the other end of the cable into your system.

AC Adapter: Featuring two cables and the adapter itself, this is a simple way to charge a PS3 controller but remember that older models may not work with such a device. One cable is then plugged into the adapter and wall. The other cord is responsible for connecting your adapter to your controller. Everything is charged with a wall outlet.

To restore battery function I plan to add a a Module like this to replace the circuitry in the controller that dose not work, pull power from 5v+ usb to the Modules power input then connect the Modules output to the battery in then the Modules ground to ground and that should work. Using a script or add-on that scans GameFAQs for box and screen images (such as an emulator front-end), while overloading our search engine You can create DIY PS3 controller chargers for your system. This process will need an understanding of handcrafts. Your PC: Regardless of the specific computer you own, it really should just come down to plugging one end of the mini USB cable into the computer. The other end will then go into your controller. It doesn’t get much simpler than that.

You can charge your PS3 controller via the PS3 console using a USB type A cable. It is recommended to use the company-provided charging cable to connect the PlayStation 3 controller to its console after connecting the console to a power source. If you have a wireless controller, insert the USB Controller Adapter into one of the USB ports on the PS3 console. Connect the Mini-B end of the USB Charger Cable to the Mini-B port on the USB Controller Adapter. – Step FourFor most wireless controllers, charging begins the moment you complete the connection. You will see a flashing light on the PlayStation/Home button , signifying it is charging. As a temporary solution I removed the battery and even though its a little higher voltage than it should be I soldered a wire from the usb power to the battery terminal to directly power the controller.
