About this deal

The OXVA Xlim V2 replacement pods are made to fit the OXVA Xlim, Xlim Pro, Xlim SE and Xlim SQ vape kits. These pods can hold up to 2ml of e-liquid and are ideal for MTL (Mouth To Lung) vaping. As the coils are built into the pods, you don’t have to spend time changing messy coils and can just swap the old pod for a new one. Sadly this does not have a puff counter like the first version but I have refilled 9 times and the flavour is still spot on! OXVA Xlim C 0.6ohm Coil The XLIM C is a pretty typical pod system that’s simple to use, so it’s perfect for beginners. It does, however, offer a few adjustment options. To refill the included 2ml OXVA Xlim C pod, all you need to do is pull out the silicone plug that’s on the side to reveal the filling port and top up with your chosen e-liquid. You can also adjust the airflow to feel tighter or looser by using the switch on the side of the device. To get the most out of your kit, we’d recommend using it with an e-liquid that has a 50/50 or a high PG concentration. The battery capacity is the same as previous versions at 900mAh and USB Type C charging at up to 2A is provided. According to OXVA you can charge up to 80% in only 30 minutes. The first coil I tried was the 0.8Ω (ohm) coil, and this lasted me two whole weeks before the flavour started to wane. This might be the best coil life I’ve ever gotten out of a pod kit. With both coils I would say fully open is around a 5 and fully closed it is about 0.5. The range therefore has increased for this version as the other Xlims were around a 3 in fully open. What To Expect From The OXVA Xlim C?

The charging boasts of 30 mins for 80% charge seem to be accurate as I found it took around 35 minutes to fully charge each time I timed it. This was with a 2A mains plug.

This has definitely more of an RDL vape than before and still closes off enough for an excellent MTL vape too! Mod Performance There can be no doubt that OXVA produce some of the best kits in the game when it comes to small pod devices. The Xlim C really is a great kit but I remain unconvinced it’s better than it’s predecessors. The replaceebale coil seems unecessary and I can’t see any upside to it. Although the Xlim C doesn’t leak and the coils last well, it does make it prone to these things. The flavour production is incredible, just like disposables with the right liquid. Battery life is strong and an adjustable airflow is of course welcomed. All round, this is an excellent kit for beginners. After around a while of testing, we found that the Xlim C coils can last between 7 and 22 days with the average being 13 days which is high for a pod device using Nic Salt e-liquid. What type of person is the OXVA Xlim C kit for? I am really pleased to see the return of the funky looking “X” shaped LED on the fire button! This has been present on all of the Xlims apart from the SQ which would have looked loads better with it! Battery life and charging

So far with the Xlim series, we’ve yet to see changeable coils, so it was a nice treat to get to try these for the first time.

The final detail of note on the main body is the airflow control on the side. This is a simple sliding affair with three holes which you reveal depending on your preference. With one hole open, you can get a tight MTL vape, fully open you can have a lightly restricted DTL, and then you can fine tune things to your requirements. Whilst I’m normally a MTL vaper, I found I preferred fully open, it has just the right balance of restriction and flavour.Nic Salt vs. 50/50 E-Liquids - A detailed break down of the differences between freebase and nic salt E-Liquids. The OXVA Xlim C is perfectly suited to those switching from disposable vapes that want a hassle free vaping experience. Apart from changing the coils (which is easy in this kit), there isn’t too much to worry about. We’d therefore recommend it to beginner vapers and intermediate vapers who might want a smaller more convenient device. Pro’s and Cons Pro’s Still, the Xlim and the Xlim SE had one minor fault: they didn’t offer a changeable coil option for vapers who prefer swapping coils instead of pods (even the Caliburn series has a device that uses changeable coils).

This is perfectly happy with my 6mg Nic salt 50/50 e-liquid but is not quite as smooth as the 0.8ohm coil. I found I used this at the lowest power setting (18W) as it really felt warm and harsh on the higher power settings. Changing to the 0.6ohm coil gave a slightly more intense flavour, but the difference wasn’t massive. I also found the coil life took a slight hit, it started to show signs of burnt flavour a couple of days earlier than the 0.8ohm coil which lasted me a comfortable 6-7 days before I had to swap them out. On this basis, I would recommend the 0.8ohm coil out of the two as it will also help stretch out that battery life a tad. Don’t get me wrong, both coils are superb so you can’t really go wrong with either, it’s just my personal preference. In some other models, I’ve found the airflow adjustment switch to be flimsy and easily moved—but on the Xlim C, this isn’t the case. The switch is sturdy and stable and stays exactly where you set it, which is nice for me as a tight MTL vaper. There’s nothing worse than a flimsy airflow adjustment on a vape when you like your draw a little more restricted. Recharging is easy and absolutely rapid with a type-c charging cable, recharging from 0-80% in just 30 minutes. We found a full charge takes around 50 minutes if the kit is completely dead. The 0.6 Ohm RDTL version creates the most vapour and can be used at 18 - 22W; the 0.8 Ohm MTL coil works with an output of 13 - 17W; and 8 - 12W is the ideal range for the 1.2 Ohm MTL coil, which produces the smallest amount of vapour. No matter which of these coils you prefer, we’d suggest using an e-liquid with a 50/50 or high PG concentration for best results. With the 0.6ohm coil I got around 5 hours of heavy vaping on the lowest power level. This equates to around 4 pod fills. Otherwise, the airflow adjustment switch allows you to tailor your vape from a loose RDTL-style inhale to a tight, warm MTL draw, all with a simple switch adjustment. I used 50/50 20-24 mg nicotine salt juices with these coils, and the flavor was great for a pod system. The coils performed at a pretty similar level. The 0.6-ohm coil did seem to produce more clouds, but I felt that the 0.8-ohm coil was actually a little better for flavor and better suited for the device. But really, you can’t go wrong with either. After a couple days of use with the .6 ohm coil, I went ahead and switched out to the .8 ohm coil with the same RY4 cream liquid that I used with the first coil. I use other pods with .8 ohm coils/pods so had a feeling this one was going to be a better fit for me. I closed down the airflow so just two holes were open and it was a good fit for me. I tried it in all three power levels and could honestly use this coil in any of the three and be happy with it. The change in power levels is noticeable but not drastic. Both coils produced good flavor and a fair amount of vapor for a pod device. I just needed a little more air for the .6 ohm coil.
