The strips were exposed to sustained water exposure shortly after application. SOLUTION: Try to avoid bathing, swimming, or other activities requiring submerging hands in water, for a minimum of 12 hours after application. Shower before application. Strips were applied overlapping skin or too close to the cuticle. SOLUTION: Try to leave a tiny gap at the cuticle and make sure the strip isn’t touching any skin on the sides. Nailbeds are naturally very oily, preventing good adhesion of the strip. (This is more likely if you have oily/combination skin.) SOLUTION: Try using a nail dehydrator product to strip those excess oils out of your nailbeds prior to application of Ohora strips.

The official Ohora instruction pamphlet originally said to trim, file then cure, however since then Ohora has instructed users to trim, then file after curing. Many members say they have experienced unwanted stretching, lifting, and dimpling/texture at the tip by filing first; These members prefer to cure first, then file as they feel the added rigidity of curing helps improve the result of the filing. Other members say that they file before they cure and it helps further protect the tip of the nail. Try both ways and see what works best for you. Strips weren’t cured long enough. SOLUTION: Try adding additional cure time to each curing step in your process. We recommend 2-4 times after applying the strip and 2-4 times after applying the top coat, but adjust as you see fit. Too much acetone was applied to the edges, getting under the strip and breaking down the adhesive. SOLUTION: Try to use a sparing amount of acetone.
