All our Maxi-Cosi car seats are designed and manufactured with you and your family in mind. Because we value your family’s safety, every car seat we develop is thoroughly tested by independent safety organisations like ADAC. We make sure you can travel carefree, from your first ride home from the hospital with a baby car seat up to primary school in a group 2/3 car seat. We have a car seat for you, no matter your situation. We understand that children grow up fast. That’s why we’ve designed the unique 360 Family. This next generation rotating car seat system, consisting of a rotating FamilyFix 360 base and compatible Pebble 360 & Pearl 360 car seats, carries your baby from newborn up to 4 years old! You may notice that there are a few Maxi Cosi ISOFIX bases that we haven't mentioned here, such as the 3WayFix and the Babyfix. This is because these bases have been phased out by Maxi Cosi and replaced with newer models. The Maxi-Cosi FamilyFix2 easily attaches to your car’s ISOFIX anchor points. Make sure you follow the steps in our user manual for it to be correctly installed into your car.
Removing an ISOFIX base varies depending on which base you have, but it usually involves pressing a button and disconnecting the base from the ISOFIX anchorage points. The base's user manual will usually contain a section that guides you through the installation and removal process so you can ensure you complete these steps safely and correctly. Why choose an ISOFIX? No, not every Maxi-Cosi ISOFIX base fits every Maxi-Cosi car seat. There are different ISOFIX bases for different car seats, however there are some Maxi-Cosi ISOFIX bases that fit more car seats than others, such as the FamilyFix2 and FamilyFix3, which fit several Maxi-Cosi car seats. Our belted car seats are just as easy to use. Simply follow the instructions in the included manual and you and your little one are ready to go! R44 groups 0+ (birth to 13 kg), 1 (9 to 18 kg), or 2/3 (15 to 36 kg) are based on your child’s weight, not height and are suitable for children from birth up to 12 years old. In accordance with the law, your baby must travel rearward-facing for at least 9 months. However, R44/04 products are going to be phased out in the future and i-Size will become the standard for car seats. Read more about ECE R44. We understand that owning a baby car seat means having to install it correctly every day. Our Maxi-Cosi FamilyFix2 makes it hassle-free to install your car seat for extra peace of mind. As part of the 360 Pro Family, the Pebble 360 Pro can be used from birth up to 15 months. It is compatible with the FamilyFix 360 Pro base (sold separately). There are two ways in which you can install your newborn car seat: with an ISOFIX base or with your car’s seatbelt. At Maxi-Cosi, we always recommend using an ISOFIX base to install your baby car seat. It minimises the risk of incorrect installation and provides a solid connection to your car. Don’t worry if you don’t have ISOFIX anchors in your car, installation with a belt is just as safe if you follow the instructions included in the manual.
The best place to fit your newborn car seat is the rear middle seat of your car. The next best place to install your newborn car seat/infant carrier is behind the passenger; this can be done if the middle seat doesn’t have ISOFIX anchors or a three-point seat belt for fixing the car seat in place. We don’t recommend it, but if you need to install the baby car seat in the front passenger seat, be sure to always deactivate the passenger airbag before doing so.
