About this deal

A good, dependable foundation should be great at covering blemishes, easy to blend, and able to last well past your workday. But the (unfortunate) fact of the matter is, just because a label says long-lasting, doesn't necessarily mean it is. That's where we are here to help. We interviewed several celebrity makeup artists to find the best foundations that truly last. With its buildable coverage, skin-like finish, and wide range of shades, NARS Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation took our top spot.

I was really surprised at this foundation, and wish I'd discovered it sooner after spending a lot of money on other products. I'll be recommending the product to everyone for its value and sheer quality. The verdict To sculpt and contour, use a concealer 1-4 shades lighter than your skin tone to highlight, & another 1-4 shades darker to contour. Apply lighter shade down the nose, under the eye and centre of the forehead to illuminate. Use the darker shade to add dimension to your face, contouring your cheekbones, jawline and hairlineFor early mornings or late nights, it will last with you. The 6-in-1 formula primes, conceals, covers, smooths, protects and mattifies. I applied the Blur Foundation just with my hands and rubbed it in like a moisturiser. Although this felt alien to me because I'm usually used to dabbing it on with a sponge, the foundation itself actually felt quite nourishing.

When I read I could send a selfie and have my "perfect" foundation delivered to my house a few days later, I wasn't entirely convinced. But in under a minute the brand's app scanned my face and, sure enough, two days later the product hit my doormat. What We Don't Like: While the label claims full coverage, some say it's more medium and hard to build to full. Truth be told, I wasn’t always into powder foundations. As someone who has dry skin, I usually steer clear of anything that could be too drying and cakey, and I’m definitely more accustomed to setting powders as opposed to full-coverage compacts. That being said, when it comes to makeup, getting out of my comfort zone is one of the many ways I adopt my new beauty habits, and (spoiler alert), that’s exactly what happened when I got my hands on one of the most recently-launched powder foundations – the Maybelline Super Stay 24H Hybrid Powder Foundation. For me personally, summer is all about the dewy lightweight foundations, and as it gets colder I want something a little more longer lasting. The problem with full coverage foundations is the fact they can look and feel cakey, so it can be so hard to find the perfect one.Shade 9 Light Vanilla - For medium skin tones with a pink undertone. Previously named 2, Cool Medium. I was amazed at how thin and breathable this foundation felt on my face, considering it has a very high coverage. I'm someone that likes to wear quite a lot of foundation, and this one felt really smooth and soft on my face.

Now, let's talk about the finish, because I was utterly amazed. It made my face look practically airbrushed, and blended seamlessly with my Collection concealer and loose powder. Before applying foundation, Mayo recommends prepping your skin by taking the time to cleanse and exfoliate any dry, rough patches. While facial oils offer many beauty benefits, it's best to avoid using any products with oils in the AM since they can break down your foundation. In addition to a matte finish, it's best if the foundation is oil-free to prevent the foundation from breaking down and looking shiny on your skin.
