About this deal

David Heyman produced all the films in the series with his production company Heyday Films, while David Barron joined the series as an executive producer on Chamber of Secrets and Goblet of Fire. Barron was later appointed producer on the last four films. Chris Columbus was an executive producer on the first two films alongside Mark Radcliffe and Michael Barnathan, but he became a producer on the third film alongside Heyman and Radcliffe. Other executive producers include Tanya Seghatchian and Lionel Wigram. J. K. Rowling, author of the series, was asked to become a producer on Goblet of Fire but declined. She subsequently accepted the role on the two-part Deathly Hallows. [29] Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the seventh and final novel in the series, was adapted into two feature-length parts. [7] Part 1 was released in November 2010, and Part 2 was released in July 2011. [8] [9]

The high profile and demand for a high-quality local translation means that a great deal of care is often taken in the task. In some countries, such as Italy, the first book was revised by the publishers and issued in an updated edition in response to readers who complained about the quality of the first translation. [ citation needed] In countries such as China and Portugal, the translation is conducted by a group of translators working together to save time. [ citation needed] Some of the translators hired to work on the books were well known before their work on Harry Potter, such as Viktor Golyshev, who oversaw the Russian translation of the series' fifth book. Golyshev was renowned for his translations of William Faulkner and George Orwell, [4] and was known to snub the Harry Potter books in interviews and refer to them as inferior literature. [ citation needed] The Turkish translation of books two to five was undertaken by Sevin Okyay, a popular literary critic and cultural commentator. [9] Individuals [ ] Unlike many of the other wizarding schools, Fenghuang is made up of many buildings, or pagodas. Each building contains a different class, except for Care of Magical Creatures, which is held outside. The main building is the largest and grandest of all of the buildings. It is a massive gold pagoda which contains a massive dining hall, similar to Hogwarts' Great Hall, as well as all of the student dormitories. A giant statue of a Fenghuang (Logo8th) sits on top of the building. It is sometimes said that its eyes glow at the start of every new school year. Famous wizards hailing from China included the alchemist Dzou Yen, [11] the Dragonologist Quong Po [12] [13] and the Minister for Magic Liu Tao. When students started off at the school, they were given bijia vests with the symbol of their house etched in that grew as they grew and changed color as the wearer gained experience, with pink as the beginning color. If the wearer received top grades in all the school subjects, their robes would turn gold. Any student who betrayed the Chinese wizard's code or practiced Dark Arts would result in their uniform turning white, which was a huge disgrace, and the student in question would be immediately expelled from the school and tried by the Ministry of Magic. The impatience of the international Harry Potter fan community for translations of the books has led to the proliferation of unauthorised or pirate translations that are often hastily translated and posted on the internet chapter-by-chapter, or printed by small presses and sold illegally. The work may be done by multiple translators to speed the process. Such translations are often poorly written and riddled with errors. J.K. Rowling – YKY". Ykykultur.com.tr. He also obtained another Best Director nomination at the annual Saturn Awards, which also saw the film gain a Best Fantasy Film nomination. [129] [130] Deathly Hallows – Part 2 was released to critical acclaim, gaining a mix of audience awards. Part 2 of Deathly Hallows was also recognised at the Saturn Awards as well as the BAFTA Awards, where the film achieved a win for Best Special Visual Effects. [131] Box office performance Steve Kloves wrote the screenplays for all but the fifth film, which was penned by Michael Goldenberg. Kloves had direct assistance from J.K. Rowling, though she allowed him what he described as "tremendous elbow room". Rowling asked Kloves to remain faithful to the spirit of the books; thus, the plot and tone of each film and its corresponding book are virtually the same, albeit with some changes and omissions for purposes of cinematic style, time, and budget constraints. Michael Goldenberg also received input from Rowling during his adaptation of the fifth novel; Goldenberg was originally considered to adapt the first novel before the studio chose Kloves. [43]
