About this deal

The fans work to maximize airflow without adding noise to the case. Some customers found that the case was not as quiet as they expected, especially the included fans. The issue was not widely reported, but one worth considering for those craving a silent operation! The case is still quiet, with many customers praising a virtually silent operation.

You also get three fans included! The dynamic X2 GP-14 fans are preinstalled, and the tower boasts room to expand to nine fans if you need it! Now that is some serious space. There is also space for large motherboards; you can get up to a 285mm E-ATX motherboard here! You’ll be hard-pressed to find other PC cases that can offer that for this price! I have a 9-year old PC which is used for work (Office365, Teams etc), a bit of gaming (Civilisation mainly) and movie streaming (Netflix and others). Ultra-slim Nexus+ 2 fan hub with three PWM and six 3-pin connections logically placed in-line with cable channels Fractal offers fast charging and speeds of up to 10Gbps thanks to its five USB ports featuring USB-C charging power and capabilities. There are 2 usb-c ports on the pc, one on the top of the fractal define 7 case and one at the rear on the ASUS TUF Gaming B550-Plus motherboard. They found the design and finish to be of premium quality. They found it a quiet operation while the computer was idle or during gameplay. That being said, customers praised how quiet the PC case was! Customers even reported that they couldn’t tell the PC was on, and it was running so quietly!

A fully windowed side panel is made from tempered glass, which allows you to view the PC’s internal components. It is worth noting here that tempered glass panels are not the best for reducing noise in PCs. I should have mentioned I'll be moving over another 1TB SSD and a 1TB HDD from my old PC, so hopefully that gives me enough storage. Comparatively, the Fractal Define 7 isn’t particularly impressive or unimpressive for GPU thermals. It’s not great, but it’s also not anywhere as close to the bottom as in the CPU testing. The Define 7 ends up about where the Corsair 680X is, and that’s a glass-fronted cuboid-like case, and isn’t far from the 220T Airflow or Core P3. If you were to fit another expansion card in here, it’d potentially have drastic impact on GPU thermals since most of the air comes through the rear of the case. 3DMark We’ve been hot and cold on Fractal over the past couple years. Their whole lineup has had consistently high build quality, but our opinions have ranged from the highly-rated Meshify cases that have excellent cooling potential (with some aftermarket fans added in) down to the highly-priced and unexciting Define S2 Vision RGB. Today we’re reviewing the Define 7, successor to the Define R6, a case that fell on the positive end of that scale in our review. We’re sure there’s some reason for Fractal dropping the “R,” but we neglected to ask.

If the price ranks higher in importance than how quiet your PC case is, perhaps our other article Best Budget PC Case in 2023, will be more helpful. For those after an affordable yet quiet case, Corsair is the best one for you! The mid-tower case uses lined side panels and noise dampening materials to keep the sound down. In that same vein, we also received an accessory kit with the Define 7 containing an entire replacement top panel. Using this panel defeats some of the noise damping features of the case, but it does allow mounting fans and radiators, vastly expanding the cooling options. The downside of swappable panels like this is that customers are inevitably going to pay for a panel that they don’t use, but the ability of the Define 7 to switch from a silence-focused case with a ton of drive mounts to a liquid-cooled case with massive radiators and a reservoir at the front, or anything in between. Cooling fitment has grown quite a lot compared to previous Define series chassis. Define 7 can fit up to nine 120 or 140mm fans. The XL version can fit up to eleven 120mm fans or nine 140mm fans. Radiator fitment for the Define 7 can fit up to a 360mm or 280mm up front; the top can fit up to 360mm or 420mm, the rear is up to 120mm, and the bottom even offers up to 240 or 280mm. The XL version offers up to 480mm or 420mm in the front and top, while the rear and bottom provide the same 120 and 240 or 280mm mix. The CPU air cooler limit should you opt for a tower that would be 185mm on both the standard and XL models. Both the standard Define 7 and the XL version come with three 140mm based DC chassis fans, two in the front intake and one rear as exhaust. You wouldn’t have to wait for AMD’s new processors, even their current ones will trounce Intel’s for your requirements.CORSAIR 850W RMx SERIES™ MODULAR 80 PLUS® GOLD, ULTRA QUIET Higher quality and higher wattage PSU to allow the system to run quieter and more efficiently, as well allow for a GPU upgrade down the road Unique URL to re-configure: https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/saved-configurations/amd-am4-gen3-pc/hHGCUTnPQ0/ We can get ourselves a quiet PC case; that’s what we can do!
