About this deal

Early on it was Savannah that disappointed me. She’s knows the score. Knows he’s close to going rogue and doesn’t seem to care. He gave her an extra 5 years at great personal cost to himself. Shimamura, Ippei (2004). "Yellow Shamans (Mongolia)". In Walter, Mariko Namba; Neumann Fridman, Eva Jane (eds.). Shamanism: An Encyclopedia of World Beliefs, Practices, and Culture. Vol.1. ABC-CLIO. pp.649–651. ISBN 978-1576076453. Waite, A. E. (2011) [1911]. The Book of Ceremonial Magic: Including the Rites and Mysteries of Goetic Theurgy, Sorcery, and Infernal Necromancy. Martino Fine Books. ISBN 978-1614271567.

One star. That's it. Almost no stars. I almost couldn't finish this book. It's hard to believe that James Swain is a "bestselling author." I had started this book, wondering why it'd been nearly 5 years since i've read a Feehan novel and this reminded me why.

Dark Magic Books

I nearly threw the book across the room in disgust. It’s safe to say I wasn’t a happy bunny. But this was Gregori’s book. And I’d suffered through 3 long seemingly never ending books to get here. Books full of long flowing velvet hair, velvet skin, tiny waists, shapely breasts etc etc etc so I wasn’t going to quit now. Lucifer is as chaotic and devious as you'd expect, determined to enact his revenge and take Primrose as his queen, at whatever cost, whilst having some fun and achieve some light homicide in the process. He's a deliciously morally grey and complex character, that despite being the villain, you can't help but root for him. The tension and flirting between him and Primrose is so giddying, my god. Two fierce, bad asses each trying to outwit and dominate the other, what more could you want?

As we speak, I’m working with two demons, Mammon and Astaroth. One is providing me with financial aid, the other with knowledge of “liberal sciences”. In other words, I wish to amass wealth and learn as much as possible, and these demons are in the job of supplying me with the power and advice for accomplishing both tasks to the best of my abilities. However, with that said, I can definitely see other people enjoy this book if they like a book that freely mixes fairytales and mythologies, a stubborn och sarcastic goddess, battles with mythological monsters, and a big journey through many different lands. But don’t expect an enemies to lovers romance.

Herzig, Tamar (Winter 2011). "The Demons and the Friars: Illicit Magic and Mendicant Rivalry in Renaissance Bologna". Renaissance Quarterly. 64 (4): 1025–1058. doi: 10.1086/664084. S2CID 162081348. Savannah is the couple from the first books child. Born to be Gregori (who is my favorite character so far) Life Mate. I totally understood her in the beginning. I mean, her PIA mother didn't raise her to understand her culture as a Carpathian. She wanted her to make her own choice like all "human women" have the right to. Which was stupid on her part. You’re forgiven if you think we’re talking about H.P. Lovecraft’s fictional book of magic, “Necronomicon,” the basis for the plot device in “The Evil Dead” films, or something Harry Potter might have found in the Dark Arts class at Hogwarts. I wanted so much to like this book. There are a lot of really cool elements that, if done differently, would have been killer. Gods and Goddesses. Myths and Magic come to life. Lucifer and his many intriguing, but glossed over, siblings. A freaking Dragon—this should be a five-star read.. but there are just too many things about it that I didn't like. But before they can figure out a way to alert the police, the evil forces send an assassin after Peter. Live, on stage, in the middle of his magic act.

There were just enough twists and turns to keep me engaged and that ending was 🤯. I need answers and I am not okay 🤣. I need book two asap! ❤️‍🔥Savannah? Were you trying to hit me?" "I did hit you - twice, you scum. You didn't even notice the first time." She sounded very irritated with him. For some reason it made him want to smile. "I apologize, mon amour. Next time, I promise I will notice when you strike me." The hard edge to his mouth softened into a semblance of a smile. "I will even go so far as to pretend that it hurts, if you wish it."-Gregori and Savannah I liked Savannah. She was independent, intelligent, but also loving. She fought the lifemate bond initially, but then she came to realize that she was just as compelled to love Gregori, and she helped him get over his guilt about 'manipulating their connection' while she was in the womb. I really liked the communication Gregori had with Savannah when he saved her and her mother Raven's life. It made me want to read their book. Add to all of that a fuzzy sense of time and history, two male leads—neither of which the reader gets to know well enough to be more than cardboard cut-outs—and some truly odd phrasing in the writing (that is otherwise pretty clean) and you have a bit of a fizzle read. However, I believe this is the author's first book, and there is a solid base to improve on. She has obvious talent.

NEVER,NEVER Go after dark knowledge. even with a great experience and hard work , first of all you should became full honest with yourself and never go for your own benefitAn ancient tome delving into the dark arts of witchcraft and magic…a book of doom…yet it lives…at the Library of Congress. No one knows what Nikolai endured in his country’s bloody civil war – and he intends to keep it that way. As the young king strives to rebuild his country and forge new alliances, the dark magic growing within him threatens to destroy all he has built. Nikolai must journey to the places where the deepest magic survives to vanquish the terrible legacy inside him. But some secrets aren’t meant to stay buried—and some wounds aren’t meant to heal. Enter the Grishaverse with this new novel from #1 New York Times-bestselling author Leigh Bardugo. Face your demons…or feed them. And if that isn't enough, Primrose (what a name) and the older grimm brother Atlas, yeesh.. It's not even the fact that they loathe one another that bothers me, I'm good with the enemies-to-lovers angle, but there is zero chemistry there. Zero. Having pure heart and honest love to yourself and respected relation with creation will bring you way more power than you could imagine There were some time where some things came off as a little too convenient, though I suppose that's more typical when it comes to stories involving gods and goddesses. The expected romance didn't really develop, but I can't wait to see what comes of it in the sequel based on THAT CRAZY ENDING.
