Their characterisation became lost in the drama, the world building of the school they were attending and the love triangle. While I understood Nessa and Miko, I didn’t connect with them. Again, I was baffled how Nessa could change Miko so much. And I just do not see how someone like Nessa (so pure and wholesome) would ever be comfortable with Miko. Maybe I’m reading too much into this. 🤦🏼‍♀️ The world building of the mafia school was not as interesting to read about as I would’ve liked. It dragged. It became boring.

This book was so great. The characters, the plot, the suspense, the flow of the story, I loved them all. And yet you just grabbed her hair and kissed her with no consent knowing you kidnapped her and she doesn’t like you. I can excuse murder but not touching someone with no consent. the way miko acted towards nessa was so realistic, no insta love or guilt in the beginning. he was just so emotionless & sophie wrote his character development so well!! it was so interesting to see the "villain's" point of view, how he plotted against her family and literally could’ve destroyed them immediately 😭 Riona Griffin is gorgeous, intelligent, and iron-willed. My perfect woman, except she hates my guts.She thinks she doesn’t need anybody. But she needs me.She’s being hunted by an assassin who never misses his mark.I’m going to stay by her side, day and night, keeping her safe. Callum and Aida's story Brutal Prince was an explosive ride and the glimpses of Nessa made me super excited to read her book! The villain of the story was more interesting than the two of them but even by the end of it, I didn’t care for him. The Beauty and the beast references were very on the nose and that dulled my enjoyment. It was like it was drilled into me that I’m supposed to see them as beauty and the beast.
