The Spinney was first class, it was perfectly clean and comfortable. We were bit worried about the road leading to the property as it seemed very steep and narrow, but there is a quiet road which takes you straight in to the village and is very manageable. The floor at top of stairs is very creaky which was bit annoying when you have got 2 babies over to sleep but only minor in the overall very positive experience. Would definitely like to stay at The Spinney again.

This space is an embodiment of perfection, featuring top-of-the-line appliances, sliding doors leading to the rear garden, and seamless access to the dining area, illuminated by a skylight. But that's not the only bonus building offering options at The Spinney, there's also a two-storey annexe that brings a layer of practicality to this most pretty of gardens. Although a substantial space, the lounge has a cosy and intimate ambience, with masses of comfy seating clustered around a log burner and dual access to different parts of the garden via two sets of bifold doors. Up the impressive staircase and the gallery landing, with its own balcony looking out over the grounds, crowns the grandness of this central space as well as providing a light-flooded journey to five bedrooms.

beautiful large bedrooms, well equipped kitchen, comfortable lounge and lovely dining room, 5 mins (steepish) walk from Bowness so no need to struggle looking for parking, lovely view of waterfall. Very warm house. Would definitely stay there again. The mum-of-three is moving full-time to a mansion formerly owned by fashion icon Laura Ashley, she bought it in 2021, transforming it into a green wellness retreat. The lounge is the largest of the reception rooms yet, due to thoughtful interior design, it also feels the most intimate with deep, moody blue walls mixed with tactile natural textures, joined by the most comfortable of substantial sofas clustered around the robust log burner. From summer family BBQs on the terrace that hugs the house to large social gatherings that effortlessly roll way into the night and all over the land, this garden can host it all and was even the most beautiful of settings for the current owners' wedding, with ample parking to welcome all the guests.

The vaulted lounge has an unusual galleried landing, creating a real sense of space. All bedrooms are spacious, with lovely outlooks but the master suite with glass doors to the balcony provides a romantic escape! The property is family friendly.
