Flashcards are an enjoyable way to learn and practise early reading skills whiles games help children to develop memory and concentration skills. In Reception all children will learn how to ‘read’ the sounds in words and how those sounds can be written down. This RWI Read Write Inc Red Word Flashcards Set includes four sets of flashcards with high-frequency words designed to aid children’s reading and writing skills. Each set features specific words that are commonly used in the English language, gradually increasing in difficulty as the sets progress. The words range from simple words such as “I,” “my,” and “you,” to more complex words like “thought,” “brother,” and “mother.” These flashcards can be used to reinforce and consolidate learning in the classroom or at home, as well as for interventions and support.
